Does BB hint he is open to trade Brady?

So what you are saying is that Belichick expects his players to respect chain of command and his decisions but he does not show that same respect for his boss?

When it comes to football operations Belichick is the boss, that was the deal they made for him to become the HC of the NEP, and to their credit the Kraft's have honored it completely. It may well be the biggest reason for their success under Belichick.

I agree. I just do not see Belichick cutting Brady and even if he wanted to I do not think Kraft would sign off on it. Brady is not just another player.

Belichick would definitely discuss it with the Kraft's but the decision is his, and overruling him could very well lead Belichick to step down,!as he would not have the authority over football operations they promised him. As personnel goes QB is obviously the biggest decision and I don't believe Belichick would stand for the Krafts making that decision for him. I would have absolutely no problem with Belichick walking away if the Krafts overruled him on this.

In no way do I want Brady traded, and I'm on record that I would most likely stop watching football if they did it, although the circumstances matter. Brady isn't just any other player, he's the GOAT and he has sacrificed millions and millions for the betterment of the team and franchise, he's as special a player as it gets. That said the Krafts made a deal with Belichick where he has total control over football operations, and that has led to 5 Lombardi's and the net worth of the team up from 180 million to 2 billion +. Overruling Belichick would be a huge mistake by the Krafts.

Just to clarify what I have said about trading Brady and whether or not I would continue to support the Patriots. If they were to trade Brady against his wishes while he is still playing at the same level he is now then I can't see myself continuing to follow football and support the Patriots. While I have no doubt Belichick would only do what he believes is best for the team I still feel like it would be a huge betrayal of Brady, who has given more to this team and franchise than any player could ever be expected to give. If however Brady did start to drop off and wanted to keep playing, as we saw with Vince Wilfork, then I can see working with Brady to move him to team he would want to go to. When Wilfork was reaching the end of his time in New England Belichick could have simply released him or lowballed him in such a way as to essentially treat him poorly on the way out. Instead they treated VW fairly and allowed him to end his career in New England with grace and dignity. As such Wilfork ties to the franchise will always remain strong. If Brady's play was declining and Belichick believed they had a QB on the roster who could play better than him going forward then I could see Belichick working with Brady so he could end his career in New England on the right note. That I could accept, treating him like any other player I couldn't, there's a significant difference.

Sounds insane, but would be the ultimate BB move.
