I love to watch blindly arrogant, power hungry, bribed politicians (and their corporate patrons) make idiots of themselves in public. Today should be good entertainment. He is facing a checkmate position. If he chooses to keep it up, at this point, watch the national pundits really turn on him the next day.

Here ya go, Senator Comcast - - make a legacy for yourself! I'll have my popcorn.

I'm wondering if the fact that neither Walsh not his attorney Levy will be at the press conference today tells you something about how their meeting went yesterday........

We dont have to hope , he will

I just want it to be over with. If a sh!tstorm follows the morons that used spygate as a publicity magnet and they want to continue to fling poo all over the place then let them. Something tells me Specter will find another angle to push his agenda once he realizes that the spygate train is done and we'll continue to see his ugly mug until the Comcast - NFL Network issue is resolved.

I'm pretty sure his legacy was written 40 some years ago. He called it the Magic Bullet Theory.

Exactly. Even the idiots at ESPN, by last night, can read the writing on the wall now.

I'm hoping Spector still can't and today performs to a level such that he eventually gets what he and Comcast deserve.

The trap is now set. Let's see if he walks right into it.

Re: Does Anyone Else Here Hope Spector Says "It Isn't Over" today?

It's 31 against one, and Specter knows this.
You rarely have that type of advantage.
Why would he let it go?
Nobody will let it go.
Sorry guys, but it's a battle that is impossible to win.
There will be some fact sprinkled in with a lot of lies.
A lot of lies will be believed as fact.
There's just no way we'll ever be able to shout loud enough to stop that.

It definitely could help bring into sharp relief what a true farce this whole thing has been from the start, and that the driving forces behind it all along have been Comcast vs. the NFL + the media's lust for sensationalism. But on the other hand, it would still be a distraction to me as a fan and I'd rather just get back to football.

1st game of the season doesn't occur for another 3 and 1/2 months. You have time.

Plus, if it all just gets swept under the rug, Comcast and/or Specter get to save face and regroup for their next wave sometime later. Do you think their agenda simply goes away for them?

It needs to be taken care of now. Don't sweep it under the rug, unless you want it to come crawling out again later.

Sorry, no use hoping for something that will never happen.

Specter enjoys hearing himself speak. He loves that he has Goodell jumping whenever he speaks too (like when Greg Aiello said the tapes were consistent with what the Pats told Goodell that got revised to that they reserve judgement until they view the tapes after Specter accused the NFL of spinning it being over). He has a dual agenda in hopes that the Eagles Super Bowl gets overturned and Comcast gets the NFL Network for a reasonable price.

There is enough there that we know from yesterday that he can easily spin it to that the NFL rushed to close the book on the subject too prematurely. I expect him to focus on Walsh being at the Rams' walkthrough and giving Brian Daboll inside information. I expect him to focus on the offensive signals. I expect him to focus on the Patriots "cheating" in the AFC Championship game.

Sorry, but I think his involvement in all this is just heating up.

Shmessy - I want to jump on your team...please, elaborate on how this will be good to sit back and watch??

I want to buy the popcorn and enjoy the show - pontificate a bit, right here and help ease my stomach pain, please.

Re: Does Anyone Else Here Hope Spector Says "It Isn't Over" today?

I knew it because we have an incompent Goofdell as our comissioner. It's time to have a emergency meeting with all owners so that we can choose somebody else who can do the job better and tells Specter to mind his own business.
