Dillon would only return for Pats...

Re: Dillon would only return for Pats....

All I know is that one team wanted to win and the other team didn't want to lose. Usually the former comes out on top
That's just silly, it's about execution. If we'd have run more and won, great. If we'd have run more and lost we'd have been said to be too conservative. We were aggressive. We lost. So be it. In no way, shape or form did the Colts want it more nor did we play not to lose.

If the Colts outscore the Pats 32-13 in the 2nd half then at least one of those statements has to be true.

Re: Dillon would only return for Pats....

And actually, that's really not what he said. What he said is he is DONE. He knew it, we knew it, the only ones who weren't ready to know it were his agent and a handful of die hard fans. After this, even they should know it.

Yeah - only 13 touchdowns last year with a 4 yard per carry average.

He should be ashamed thinking that's good enough to contribute even as a backup. That's not even good enough for NFL Europa.

Call me crazy but I'll say it again - I'd be happy to have him back at the right price.

Richpats, are you goofing with us? I don't get the joke. If you aren't trying to be funny, this is without a doubt the goofiest thing I've read here, not counting Aqua4ever's posts.

Does this mean in the first half, the Patriots wanted it more and the Colts played to lose?

Can we break it down by drive? In the third drive of the fourth quarter, the Patriots played to win and the Colts played to lose, but in the fourth drive of the quarter the patriots played not to lose and the Colts played to win.

Or perhaps we could even break it down by play, depending on the results of the play.

The Pats went conservative in the 2nd half on both sides of the ball in order to preserve the lead (i.e. "not lose"). The Colts went all out on both sides of the ball in the 2nd half in order to win the game.

32-13. I don't need any more evidence than that.

Re: Dillon would only return for Pats....

The 2004 Patriots were the greatest Patriot team of all time.

And one of the biggest reasons for that was Corey Dillon.

I doubted the trade. Didn't like it.

And what I got to see in return from my doubt was the single greatest season by a Patriots runningback ever!.

He was just straight up awesome!

Good luck to you Corey!

You got your ring!

I say it was one of the greates teams ever. You could make an argument a few were equal or better so I will say top 5 (easy).

No, they just outplayed us. It happens.

I thought the discussion was how we didn't run enough then you say we were too conservative. 1+1 doesn't equal 2 here. We didn't execute well enough but most people here are saying we should have been more conservative by running more.

Check my earlier posts - I never said that we didn't run enough. Playcalling on offense was conservative in the 2nd half (i.e. no shots downfield, no play-action). 1+1=2

you are not crazy at all
