Did we know how bad Brady's knee was back in 2008?

There wasn't anything about him having a staph infection or multiple staph infections that came out. This board would have melted down had there been.

That post made me curious as it seems hard to believe this was one of the few places that wasn't discussing it. A quick search shows there was certainly some discussion

I wasn't on the board then but distinctly remember reading in 2008 / 2009 about Brady having a staph infection at some point.

Incidentally, Brady's also said that the infection is one reason he's so into alternative treatments and therapies like those advocated by Guerrero. He doesn't trust Western medicine as much after what happened that year.
 
 
A part of me says thank god it's not this year,while another part of me says I wish it was still 2008 when we had a 30 year old QB in his prime
