Did the Pats go too far in garbage time?

In the NFL anything can happen. teams have scored 2TD's in just under 2 minutes...so I would say, NO...go ahead and pile it on!

No. They could have easily run up the score if they wanted to pad the stats like some teams like to do. Generally I think BB goes out of his way to not give the opposing team any ammo for any future matchups.

I agree with those who said the running game wasn't really getting easier with the large lead, and we wanted to keep the ball, like you're supposed to do. You don't GIVE the other team gift three and outs because you're up huge. You try and end the game the way it's working.

Sounds like your friend doesn't really understand why what the Pats were doing was working.

The eyebrow raiser for me was the 4th and 5 going for it. THAT I didn't quite get. That almost felt like they were doing a few things in practice to get a feel for the situation. It is a short week, after all, wouldn't put it past them. I would have liked to see Gost try a long FG, but I guess they didn't want to chance a miss and some unsavory Adam/Gost comparisons in the coming week.
