The illuminating thing is that even Kraft acknowledged that this has been a transition and that has informed his expectations. That's just interesting to me.

But anyway, glad we didn't go with Lamar. We don't have the personnel to run that offense. Each time I've brought this up, I've yet someone to say how we could make it work. I'm all ears but I really don't see it, especially after us signing Mike G.

I like Lamar. In an offense tailored to him. But at his cost, I don't even know if we could've built the offense he needs.

I think that Belichick is on the hotseat this year. He may not have to have a great season, but no playoffs and that could be the end of his career with the Patriots. Kraft only has so many years left on this earth. He isn't going to settle for five or six years of mediocrity.
