The quote is at about 3:45 of the video, and as others mentioned, he only says he doesn't know if they will be great, not they won't be.

Good point, you can be strong in other areas [LB, pass rush] to make up for it, like I hope for this year.

This year, we stand to have more depth, but starters are a question. Terrel Buckley was a good third CB in an era when you didn't need a ton of depth. He was a ball hawk and a former 1st round pick. Along with the crafty Otis Smith and HOF Law [and Milloy], a pretty good defensive backfield.

We definitely did it with smoke and mirrors when Law and Poole went down in 2004.
