DeSean Jackson?

The point apparently went right over your head.

Getting robbed does not make you an idiot, keeping TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND dollars CASH in your house makes you an idiot.

So the point was that the poster didn't know what he was talking about, because the rich often keep money on hand?

I don't see how getting one's house robbed makes one an idiot.
Keeping $250k in cash at home along with unregistered firearms puts one in that general neighborhood.

If I was making $10 million a year, having $250k in my house is the same as someone making $100k a year having $2500 in the house

A non contender better get him if we don't. D-Jax in Seattle, San Fran, New Orleleans(they shouldn't be able to afford him), Green Bay, or Denver (they shouldn't be able to afford him either but it's Elway...) is scary. Especially San Fran or Seattle.

You people from mass have to get out to the real world, most places in the country you don't register your firearms, that whole constitution thing.

At least he's not getting DUIs or arrested or failing drug tests

It could be worse

Which of course would mean, if AH lived in 90% of the country he would be free right now, but I digress.

If you think the average multi-millionaire has a quarter million in cash in their home, then you're the one who doesn't know what he is talking about. One of the main reasons is because truly wealthy people don't need cash. Oh, they might have a couple grand in pocket change, but what in the world would someone ever need that much cash for (excepting illegal activities)?

I bet even Bill Gates doesn't have that much money in his home in cash. In fact, I bet he doesn't even have 10% of that.

A free agent Desean Jackson gets real interesting. We could give him a 2 year dummy contract like Revis to get his cap hit for 2014 down to 5-7 million. I imagine the teams interested would be the Pats, Jets, Raiders, Browns. The Panthers can't afford him and the 49ers/Seahawks need their cap for key players due for contracts after this year.

I want this so bad. If they get Desean Jackson, it would be their biggest free-agent-or-trade offseason acquisition since.... well, since last week.

your first mistake is lumping in athletes with your "average multi-millionaire". Most athletes have two things that your "average multi-millionaire" doesn't have, a rough upbringing and the ability to make money without using an education or your brain so-to-speak. Your average multi-millionaire athlete most likely won't have the understanding of finances and money that other multi-millionaires have.

Um, you apparently don't realize that you're making my point for me. I was responding to a comment which talked about "the rich" having that much cash on had.

I'm sure there are lots of athletes and drug dealers with that much cash, but the typical multi-millionaire simply isn't going to have that much money in their house and yes, anyone who does is an idiot that I have no sympathy for them when they get robbed.

Shyt for brains ultimately trumps talent. This idiot had $250k IN CASH, jewelry and a handgun stolen from his home. Below is a photo of him with a homey at a strip club. He's got New Jersey Green Bean written all over him.

Can't help himself, I mean tune not Desean.

Now tell us how he is a "thug" "gangster"....can set your watch to it.

...which is why the NFLPA has a Registered Financial Advisor program which they urge all members, especially incoming rookies, to connect with.

For all that they've buried their heads in the sand over some issues, the NFL and the union do recognize the risks of a community of young overnight millionaires and offer a lot of education and support services.

Which of course would mean, if AH lived in 90% of the country he would be free right now, but I digress.

So you can be suspected of murder with impunity in 90% of the country?

You can be a suspect in a murder and certainly not be arrested in the entire country. If you live in Mass and have an unregistered hand gun you can be arrested.

I was expanding upon your point lol. Should have multi-quoted.

Not everybody can be helped. I have to find the link to the espn documentary on athletes going broke. A lot of these guys are making the same mistakes that others before them make. Even with all of these programs put i place these guys hold a firm sense of who they are with the community they grew up in. We saw it bite Hernandez in the ass and I wouldn't be surprised if it gets Desean (again).

According to a recent Citi Private Bank survey of more than 50 representatives from large family offices, which manage assets on behalf of high net-worth families, nearly two-thirds of wealthy investors think it's more likely that the stock market will go up at least 10% over the coming year than lose value.

But these investors have, on average, almost 40% of their portfolio allocated toward cash. Stocks only averaged 25% of their portfolios. The rest are in bonds and alternative investments such as commodities and real estate.

He's just misunderstood. Probably looking to see if he could get free checking with only a 250,000 balance.
