DeMarco Murray

Some idiot franchise bit.

The Titans are trading for Murray's short services!

Wow. I can't wait to find out what this turns out to be.

Rumor is first pick of round 3.

Holy Crap.

If that turns out to be true, I'll certainly have an healthy helping of Crow for Dinner!!

You should have a look at the Titans RBs. Murray makes that unit instantly better.

I still think the contract is absurd, although they may end up writing something new.

As far as him instantly improving their running game, you are certainly right. For a team who usually has a good amount of cap space available and is attempting to build around a new franchise QB, this move makes some sense. For most other teams, not so much (IMO).

Of course it is. Unless it's AP or Le'Veon Bell, there's not much point throwing away dollars when you want the decision in Brady's hands.

While you always want the ball in Brady's hands and the offense to revolve around our quick passing game, I'm beginning to soften my stance on wasting RB money just a bit after witnessing the horrible OL and RB issues this past season.

I believe that 2015 was one of the more unbalanced pass/run ratios that we've had in awhile, and even then it was still "only" around 60/40 (approx--forgive me if I'm off a percentage point or two). We've seen plenty of successful seasons where it was 55/45, or even as recently as 2010 (14-2) when it was even tighter than that.

I agree with you that there are only a couple/few backs in the league that would justify 8+ million dollars a year, but I'd be more than happy as a fan seeing them spend something on the higher end of the 4-5m dollar a year range, particularly as Brady heads down the stretch of his career here.

So, the first action a Belichick guy make, is signing a "old" RB for 7½ mill a year

Donno if Belichick is a bad teacher or Robinson was a bad student

The Titans are in great shape.

Murray won't be 2014 Murray but he should be decent enough to help this team have more of a running threat as last year it was non-existent.

The already have a good QB.
$41m in cap space
#1 Pick in the draft which they can deal for more picks

If they can draft some o-line help and load up on defense they could be a 9-7 team next year.

Reeks of desperation. Titans have no shot at getting a good player otherwise. Guess it's worth a shot....but a third round pick?

Well, your powers of prognostication are still in place, just in an "opposite day" kind of way.
Maybe you should list a few other things that couldn't possibly happen that would be to the Pats' benefit if they did. And pick a Powerball number sequence that just can't possibly win.

A 3rd rounder for Demarco Murray is not an overpay. Based on is 2015 season the $7m he is owed in 2016 certainly is but if he doesn't work out they can cut him with a minimal $2m carry over to 2017.

Its a gamble for sure.

Murray's Agent:
A trade & new contract has been orchestrated to make @DeMarcoMurray a member of the Tennessee Titans.

At the Risk of writing something that everyone's going to agree with ~ ergo: something boring ~ I just have to get this off my Chest, so I beg'f you to indulge me, Fellow FootBall Fiends...

I keep reading how the Eagles are now "willing to entertain Trade Offers" for DeMarco Murray.

So let me see if I've got this right...

A Year ago, any of 32 Teams could've had Murray without trading a damned thing...

Yet now, when he's loaded down with that bloated Contract because Philly was stupid enough to be, presumably, The Highest Bidder for a guy poised for Disaster as Murray was, those Clowns imagine that somebody's stupid enough to be willing to pay what they were not willing to pay a Year ago before last Years spectacular Failure...and trade something or somebody away for the Privilege of doing so???

Out'f their Minds, they are.

Crow!! It's What's For Dinner!!
