No thanks

no i liked last year's guys

Interesting.

Murray had very good production for the Titans in 2016, both rushing and receiving. Inconsistent as a runner in 2017, but still a solid receiver out of the backfield, while splitting time/carries with Derrick Henry.

His $6.5M and $6.75M cap hits for 2018 & 2019 were a bit much, if you're just looking at his 2017 stats. But the Titan have about $48M in cap space and basically nothing at RB besides Henry now.

Murray just turned 30 in mid-February.

Really unclear what his market value might be, considering his age, mileage, and the fact that he's coming off a knee injury that kept him on the bench the last three games of the regular season and the playoffs.

No more RB retreads, please.

LOL!

The Pats ground game for the past 17 seasons has rarely been "league-leading" in rushing yards, but almost always in the top-10 or so. The Pats have also typically been in the top 6 in rushing TDs.

Nearly all re-treads and UDFAs - only four RBs drafted in the past decade or so.

Not sure why they should change an approach that's worked so consistently for nearly two decades.

Yes, some of them have worked out quite well over the years and some have been dismal failures. I'd like to see a talented rookie for a change, but as that position is not prioritized by the Patriots I guess it doesn't matter.

Assuming cap figures work out, it depends- would you be able to use that 3rd round pick on a pennies on the dollar defensive front 7 versus signing a defensive FA front 7/drafting a RB.

If Murray’s desire is to experience a Playoff run he might sign, otherwise the Pats probably don’t have enough carries to offer him given he’d split time with James White and maybe one other.

When you can pick guys like Alvin Kamara in the 3rd round for literally pennies on the dollar, why bother with veterans?
