But but but the NFL is all in on it from Krafty Bob's pocket. We all know how much Goodell loves the Pats. Look at that 1st round pick he took from them from doing something the rest of the league clearly wasn't doing.

I'm feeling a little bit better about this and feel the tide is turning with guys like Esiason, Gannon, Beurline and others saying it's a joke and that everybody does it. Comparing it to the George Brett pine tar incident is somewhat appropriate.

I wish all the Colts had Dwayne Allen's class.

Once the Patriots start losing, most of this stuff will go away. People don't like perennial winners in a league that is designed to have parity.

Noone is talking about the Saints bounty scandal anymore.
When the Colts stopped winning, claims about them piping in sound into their stadium died away.
The Jets coach tripping an opposing player (and tampering this year) noone cared about because they are losers.
Any number of teams have been alleged to intentially tamper with field conditions (flooding, etc) to gain an advantage.

Every team is looking for, and taking, an edge. The Patriots just happen to have an unparalleled stretch of winning and people are tired of the Patriots winning so much. If the Patriots had the Jets recent history, noone would even be talking about this.

The logistics of this don't make a lot of sense either. Is Belichick seriously dumb enough to take the risk of tampering with not 1, 2 or 3, but ELEVEN (11) footballs after being approved by the officials? Really? At home, against a team that they've blown out the past 3 meetings? Who have glaring weaknesses that they've exploited over & over again?

And as much as "everyone does it" sounds like an excuse to some people...IT'S NOT. IT'S F*CKING FACTUAL.

His precept was Brady being suspended for the SB, in which case Patriot fans wouldn't be laughing, and as I said I wouldn't watch the game and doubt I would ever again invest the time to bother following an NFL season again. Not sure how to handle this as a fan if it all is indeed true. I'll be watching the Super Bowl (which btw is a must win. a loss would totally destroy us). But beyond that I feel sick.

Deflating balls is totally unnecessary. We destroyed this team anyhow. It doesn't matter if the deflated balls had no effect. If it was cheating, it's cheating. The result doesn't matter.

Whether it's true or not, if people don't like to hear negative stuff about the Pats, don't listen, watch, or read the negative stuff. It really is that simple.

We are still going to play in the SB.

People will hate this team no matter what.

I feel similarly, I was a living in CA and a Sacramento Kings fan for the debacle game 6 against the Lakers and I quit the NBA and never went back. Done it before and would do it again if I get fed up enough.
