Dear Pats Fans...September's Game of the Month!

Good enough to outplay Brady in last year's game and I will leave "going Ankiel" for your guys.

he ban me is a 'dolts troll,csfoster......not ever to be
confused with the realistic members on this board.

I was (am) a Marty Fan but as stated above sometimes a point has to be conceded and the point was that he could not win in the play-offs. And since that is the bottom-line, I had no problem replacing Marty with Norv because Norv can do no worst.
Exactly. Harmony matters. We didn't have it last year and that matters.

If we're fortunate enough to make the post season and we go one and done again? Will Norv still be around? Probably. Could he and the team repeat that performance the year after and would we still see Norv working the next year for the Chargers? My crystal ball gets real foggy at that point...

Including Marty's 4th down called pass instead of a field goal.

You mean the one that Rivers didn't make? Did Marty throw the ball? That's your best excuse for Rivers having a better game when he didn't even complete half of his passes?

BTW, if we aren't counting everything, let's take Brady's second interception off too since you guys handed it back to us. lol

He got sacked on the ill-advised playcall and the fact that Rivers at no time faced a prevent defense which Brady did at the end of the 1st half.

Other than that no excuse required.

for someone offering "no excuse", that's a pretty big one.

Let me get this right. Rivers had a tougher defense and somehow Rivers was sacked and that's why he has a lower rating? So tell me, how does getting sacked enter into passer rating? I'm curious about that one.

Got it... Very scientific evaluation. Face it, you thought Rivers had a better rating because you're a homer and nothing more.

Lets not forget the two we dropped.

Maybe you guys should have played better and got yourself a QB that would complete more passess to either team since yours seemed to miss both teams.

are you bolt fans at all concerened about how easy it is to rattle Rivers, like when Harris jumped across the line and they fumbled, or last year when he talked marty into a review, that had no business being reviewed?

He reminds me of Delhome, a little too hot headed at times.

Brady on the other hand is as cool as a cucumber.

Actually you are the one talking about QB ratings. I simply said Rivers outplayed Brady in the game nonwithstanding the fact that you guys won the game.

Based on what? That's my point... he didn't. The stats and score don't support it. They both played poorly. The difference is that Brady made the throws when he needed to make them and that's the difference.

Not too worried if at all. For the most part, Rivers has been excellent in the 4th quarter whether ahead or behind and has not been easy to rattle at all.

and Brady kept his head.
Something Rivers couldn't do, I'm sure that (as L.T. would say) comes from the head coach.

But your both talking about history.
The future is now and 80% of our WRs have been UPGRADED!!!
I expect Welker to have 10 (or more) catches next week.

Something he doesn't seem to have learned from his sideline display today either.

Three interceptions in a playoff game is a huge negative. Rivers didn't play well but he outplayed Tom in that game because he didn't make as many big mistakes. You can't throw three picks and expect to win. Under normal circumstances that last pick was pretty much the season. The Pats were very fortunate that was fumbled back.

I will certainly grant you the latter but not the former. Rivers did more than enough to win the game but he could not overcome the combination of some dumb penalties on defense and offense, mistakes on special teams, or bad play-calling on offense in that game.

Perhaps the hightlight of today's game was that we did not shoot ourselves in the foot unlike we did in our last game last year.
