I expect us to finish the week with the signing of Evans, a corner and perhaps Leach.

Well LB is a need right now, and Taylor could play at OLB for us.. But dont know if he has any gas in the tank..

No spot for Evans.
Allready have 5.

I think Taylor signs as a veteran placeholder until the LB youth movement of the 2009 draft is ready to take over.

I'd only want Taylor if he came cheap.

Silly pats60, tricks are for kids.

There's always room for Evans. Was there room for Lonnie, for Slater, for Izzo, for everyone people write off each year ? 5... law firm : everyone in love with him, but Evans is more valuable. Morris, LoMo... counting on them for 16 are you ?

You ARE silly.

No way.

When maroney/morris/jordan got hurt last year, it was BJGE who was the feature running back, not Evans.

Evans is a ST luxury. Great if there is a spot for him, but no worries if there is none.

We have five FB's who play Special teams? Please enlighten us.

Thats 5 running backs. If we keep him it`s six.
No team carries 6.
PlusRus Hoch was playing fb toward the end on season.

We do not need five running backs. No team does. If Hochstein is our FB and we take care of special teams with other players, then we don't need another fullback. BJGE will not take the FB roster spot. If the roster spot is made available, there are lots of places it could go.

I don't understand the love affair with BJGE. He will be back on the practice squad to start the season until Maroney, Taylor, or Morris gets hurt.

He's not eligible for the PS anymore, mate.

Then he'll be on speed dail, unless someone wants him for their roster.

Actually, I'm wrong there. I thought if he was on the 53 for more than nine games he was ineligible, but it looks like it's on the active game-day for 9 games, and as we know he was not active in the last few games, likely with an eye toward this situation.

Heath Evans is a FB. Not a RB. And there is no guarantee that BJGE is making this team.

HUH? What are you smoking Space? Evans is the team FB. He's not a special teams luxury. Who do you think was opening some of those holes for "Law Firm". It was Evans.

Its not like we are talking a 6th LBer or a 9th DB here.
