Watching both McGinest and Harrison's A Football Life episodes it got me hot again about how the Pats are getting screwed on the HOF scene. The Colts who they dominated already have Dungy, Harrison, Polian and will get Goober, Wayne, Freeney (other than Goober the most deserving) and may get some others.

Ty Law should have gotten in before Dawkins. Can you remember one play Dawkins made in the playoffs? Because I can for the likes of Lynch, Steve Atwater and other non Patriot safeties. The hit I remember Dawkins for the most is the one on Vick where he folded him in half.

I know numbers don't tell the entire story but for comparison. I'm throwing in John Lynch as well because I bet he'll get the nod over RH as well.

Games:
Harrison 186, Playoffs 13
Dawkins 224, Playoffs 18
Lynch 224, Playoffs 12

Interceptions: Harrison has a higher average per game in both categories.
Harrison 34, 7 playoffs
Dawkins 37, 4 playoffs
Lynch 26, 2 playoffs

Sacks: More sacks in less games in the regular season and high average in the playoffs.
Harrison 30.5, 2 playoffs
Dawkins 26, 2 playoffs
Lynch 13, 0 playoffs

Fumbles (couldn't find playoff stats for this): Dawkins is dominant in this regard.
Harrison 15 forced, 9 recovered
Dawkins 36 forced, 19 recovered
Lynch 16 forced, 9 recovered

Tackles (couldn't find playoff stats for this): More tackles and assists in a lot less games.

Harrison 911 solo, 286 assist
Dawkins 895, 236 assist
Lynch 736, 318 assist

Numbers don't tell the entire story and I'm not knocking Dawkins saying he doesn't belong. I just think Harrison was a better player especially once you throw in the postseason numbers. I'd put Lynch a notch down from both.

Rodney is being blackballed. He was better than Dawkins
