It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Good video from more former players on what it was like playing with the Pats. Revis talks about his career, FA, the hype surrounding "Revis Island", how he feels about Bill and what we all want to know....Tom vs Bill.
What was fascinating was how Channing Crowder was amazed at how Darrelle Revis knew that Tampa's cover 2 scheme was not for him. Also how Revis knew the history of the Tampa Bay organization. It just goes to show you that most players are clueless to what we see and know about GM's, Coaches and players.Very interesting. So Revis didn’t enjoy his time here. Chad Johnson explained it as being militant. In the Bill vs Tom topic both Revis and Johnson say Tom.
I think what he really wanted was someone to treat him like how Rex worshipped him. For BB to just treat him like another player probably was not a good feeling for him. They are all using Brady's last season as a dig at BB. Time will tell.rJust to make sure I'm following this correctly ...
Revis acknowledges that the cover-2 zone scheme employed during his time in Tampa Bay wasn't a good fit for his skillset; he comes to New England and sees an immediate increase in his productivity and return to form in a defense that plays more man coverage and single-high safety ... and his verdict is that coaches don't deserve much credit for the successes of their teams/players?
Interesting conclusion to come to.
This. Revis was a mercenary and we had him take out a contract for a Supee BowlRevis was always about the money. We used him to help win a ring, he used us for his last big payday before he fell off a cliff.

Logic is not his forte, so it is for Ocho. Brandon’s critical reasoning ability is light years above those two. The way they supported their conclusions with rudimentary points was grade school like.Revis says he did not enjoy his time in NE which is interesting. Blames the “tension” and the “grind” with being a Patriot under BB. Credits Bill for the longevity and success but he says “you see there are also other philosophies and ways to win and it doesn’t have to be that (the Patriots) way”. ”When you deal with the things up there (NE) it’s a little bit strenuous. Nobody likes it in the locker room. But the sell that for winning games up there it’s what they do”.
Being a Patriot is not for everyone. He got his ring here as a mercenary and that’s that.
Also called out spygate and deflategate and says you can call that cheating. Whatever.

Signing on with the Patriots was the only way Revis ever sniffed a championship. The only thing he ever sniffed any time else in his career was his ****ty arrogance, and his ****ty performance after leaving the Patriots. Good riddance, asswipe.Yeah Bill just got lucky I guess. Weird how he has gotten lucky so many times over the years. It's definitely all about the talent of the players, he should thank whoever signs and drafts them. Oh that's also him.
- Plays well in NJ, doesn't go far because of idiotic crap like the Butt Fumble and god damn snacks
- Goes to Tampa Bay for money, looks like s**tis
- Comes to New England and is used correctly, wins his only ring in his only season there
- Goes back to NJ, immediately looks like s**t again
Revis is an interesting cat. He does not care for coaches and does not believe coaches make that much credit. He is one lucky guy to have won a super bowl, his mentality is not that which deserve a superbowl.
