I may have misunderstood. When you say "take this game" were you talking about the Chargers game? I read it as "If we take the Carolina game 5-4 is possible", but I read it after the Pats had already won today. So I was thinking, "Well... DUH, if you're 4-4 and win your next game, I'd say 5-4 is pretty damn possible."

EDIT: Just confirmed by looking at the time stamp. Didn't realize this thread pre-dated the start of the Chargers/Pats. My bad.

McCaffrey is on track to be back next week. Not sure how healthy he will be and no matter how healthy he is, he still needs a QB to throw him the ball. Not sure how good the back up in Carolina is.

The Gilmore vs Patriots receivers matchup is the one to watch. The Pats know Gilmore inside out. I hope they run at him all day and put the big guys out there with him. A steady diet of Harry, Henry and Smith on Gilmore would be fun to see. Let's see how recovered he is from his PUP time.

Gilmore was going to make $10M+ this year (including his signing bonus) but felt slighted. I hope he enjoys his money and gets worked over out there on Gilmore island next week.

It took me a while, but then I old. The timing of when one reads this is in question. But then who cares about this. 17-0 was possible but didn't happen.

Go Pats win the next one against Carolina and the remaining games after that one.
