Patriots Player Departure Damien Harris to Bills

Harris was a great team leader, excellent person and engaged in the community.. his loss in the organization is bigger than the loss on the field.. unfortunately he was not available much during his time here with various injuries. I still like our RB group.. we have a talented stable of backs!
I was hoping he'd end up in the NFC or at the very least, out of the Division. And I'd be willing to bet after seeing the writing on the wall, I don't think that hamstring hurt as bad as he probably made it seem. They weren't exactly subtle with this transition knowing he was in his final year, like, at all.

Yes Ian I agree. Would have liked to see him sign with the panthers or some other team. Your right ?? he likely was making a business decision as you mentioned being a upcoming FA.. I just wish he was healthy more often than not. Hopefully he doesn't go off on us.. however we have to figure out a way to solve this Buffalo curse and he's part of it now!

Ironically, Bills fans have been telling us that not one single Patriot starter could start on the Bills except for Judon. Now we see that our backup RB is their starting RB.
Speaking of bills fans what an obnoxious bunch.. we pretty much whipped thier asses for 19 seasons and they have gotten out on us past few games.. it's ok I loved the 52-10 drudging we did to them in 07..

Watch Harris become Curtis Martin and become Iron Man. If he stays healthy, he would be a legit RB for the Bills.

The Bills have as many Super Bowls as we do since Josh Allen became QB.

Edit- no they don't

They can kindly **** off.

Never has a fan based talked so much, and their team won nothing.

1.) Best of luck, Damien! Except for two times a year plus any playoff game.

2.) He was a good between the tackles runner…will miss him.

3.) Great move for the Bills, but wonder if the Bills plan on using Harris in the passing game like they did with Singletary?

4.) How much did he get? Singletary got 3.75M AAV from Houston…so I am thinking Harris signed for 2-3M?

5.) This counts towards our comp pick calculations, right? And Agholor is visiting the Ravens too…..

Ta-ta. Quite possibly the most overrated player on this message board’s history. Should have been cut before leaving the parking after that horrible fumble against Miami.

Glad to see these deadweight players (Josh Allen, Damian Harris, Wynn) leaving; team will be better off.

I like Harris, I'm sad to see him go. He'll be a good addition to the Bills (on the field and in the locker room). That said, the biggest issues the Bills have had running the ball (outside of Josh Allen) has not been due to their running backs. A running game in the NFL is a big pie, with one slice being the RB, two slices being the OL, and 3 slices being how much a team WANTS to run the ball. The Bills are still going to put the ball in Allen's hands 9/10, especially in short yardage situations where his versatility is his greatest weapon. Harris is a good signing, but I doubt we suddenly see him take off statistically in that offense.

Disagree. He was a good runner, he just couldn't stay on the damn field.

This will be a solid piece for them. Probably not a game changer but not a bad signing. He’s a solid locker room guy and should pay dividends there as well. I wonder about if things went sideways a little in 2022 with him in NE.

They have James Cook and Nyheim Himes as 3rd down backs for their passing game
