Crowd chanting "Let's go Red Sox"

Good and if the Red Sox are winning big in the 9th inning tonight, I'm sure all the fans at that game will chant "lets go Patriots".

That's what I was thinking. I'm not offended by it, it just seems strange and unnecessary.

I guess I just believe in separation of church (Patriots) and state (Sox).

Anyway, let's go Red Sox.

LOL

South Florida is where old Sox fans retire to to die. Marlins and Devil Rays fans chant let's go Sox because in reality they don't have any fans unless the Sox are in town. From the looks of the stadium today, the Doofins are entering that territory.

The game was in Miami. If it's a home game, I can buy that it annoys the NE players. In this case though, it's the Dolphin players that should be annoyed.

What?! Dolphin players annoyed at visiting fans' baseball cheers because ... why? It would be irrelevant to them. The Patriots have commented on many occasions how that crap irritates them. The latest case in point: Brady was asked at his press conference today after the game what he thought of the baseball chant, and he avoided answering the question.

It's bad enough they have to endure that nonsense at home without hearing it on the road. Brady throws six touchdown passes and he has to hear, "Let's go Red Pox." It's stoooooooopid.

Well, he does live in New York, and has sported a Yankees hat before. So maybe, just maybe, he may not be a Red Sox fan?

Yes obviously I'm the obnoxious one when you make it a personal agenda to go to every thread about a team that plays 25 miles from the Patriots. Get over it.

OK, what's YOUR personal agenda? I make a point that anyone following the Patriots already understands, which is that the PATRIOTS PLAYERS HAVE SAID THEY DO NOT LIKE CHANTING FOR THE BOSTON BASEBALL TEAM AT THEIR GAMES. Capiche? Maybe you don't like that, or don't believe it, but if so, that's your problem.

Would you please share the proof that Patriots players do not like it?

And, PS...People are free to do as they wish, so

LIGHTEN THE F*** UP.

PPS - If the Pats hate it so much why was Kraft in the Red Sox luxury box the other night?

I'm not going to do your work for you; you quite obviously have not followed the Patriots very thoroughly the last few years if you haven't seen lockerroom and post-game press conference commentary by multiple Patriots players on this matter.

And certainly, people are free to do as they wish -- including making a completely inane observation about Bob Kraft attending a Boston baseball game. If he leaned out the window and started yelling "Let's go Patriots," he'd be equally strange and disrespectful.

Why would it matter to the Dolphin players? Because it means the opposing team's fans have taken over and all their fans have abandoned ship.

And Brady is hero worshipped in NE, so there is no way any one is overlooing his or the team's accomplishments. This Pats team gets plenty of support. I agree a Red Sox chant is dumb, and I wouldn't blame a NE player for rolling his eyes, but no Patriot player better think about criticising Pat fans. They completely overtook Dolphin Stadium.

Show us some direct quotes that back up your claim. Take the stick out of your ass, geesh. You act like this cost us the game or something.

Did my hearing let me down, or was the crowd really chanting "Let's Go Red Sox"?

I just found that kind of odd, even with their prime time Game 7 matchup coming up.
totally embarrasing chanting that after a patriot touchdown,i was there they were chating it all day i guess thats why they call them chowder heads

its common sense stupid, if you were a player would you want your fans chanting foe a baseball team after they scored?

Given that this thread

a) is completely irrelevant to the Patriots or the game
and
b) identical to the one posted after last week's game

I vote that it be merged with the "moron thread"

It was television and radio interview footage, I have no idea where you'd find it. Seymour, Bruschi, Harrison, Vrabel and Brady have all commented directly on it. No, I'm not acting like it cost us the game, I'm just responding to people like you who can't get a grip.

It seems pretty obvious to me that you have an inferiority complex about youself and you are projecting it onto a situation in the public eye so that you can garner more attention for yourself.

Fans think they have so much effect on a team, when in fact, its very little.

Good Afternoon.

Oh yeah, and by the way, the burden of proof is usually on the person making the claim, not those who question it.

OK, I'll report your findings to my psychoanalyst. Much appreciated, especially if I can save that pricey co-pay.

You've just revealed yourself as a casual Patriots fan. You better power-down that computer, dude, baseball's about to start and you don't want to miss one second of all that ... scratching, yawning, spitting, etc.

This is rediculous. A ton of Pats fans showed up in Miami. Cheered for the Pats. The Pats took a gigantic lead, and they mixed in some Red Sox chants with that. Um, its Boston sports. I'm sure a bunch of the Pats players root/like the Red Sox, Surely they wouldn't be upset by the chants. They realize that its a big game 7 tonight and they are probably rooting for Boston to win, being a NE franchise. I don't know where you guys get this "the players don't like it" **** from.

Oh yea, and I believe Papi was wearing a Moss jersey today.

Yea i really think the Sox have to be down to like 1-3 or 0-3 to take it. They will win tonight and then go on to beat Colorado. Lets go Orioles... hahaha

Re: crowd chanting "let's go Red Sox"?

It's a very stupid thing to chant at a football game. The Pats players don't like it.

Nah...I'm sure at that point they were fine with it. Pats players aren't jealous of the attention the Sox get or vise-versa. Many of them are friends and they cheer each other on.

They clearly realize the Sox are playing for the world championship here.

No, your wrong. I've actually heard Brady state on an interview that he loves the Sox and does'nt mind hearing a Sox cheer at all. He also said as long as the Pats game is in hand. He wouldn't want to hear if it was a close game.

Besides, if they don't like it...too bad!

Like I said before, if they dont like Red Sox chants...oh well, that's just too bad!

As long as it happens during "garbage time", it's fine whether Patriots players think it's fine or not. We're the fans and we cheer with our hearts and our hearts are divided between both teams.

It's not like a Patriots fan can't be as much a Sox fan. As a matter of fact, that is the reality if you live in New England...so deal with it!

Did anyone stop to think that perhaps some of the New England retirees in the stands were confused and thinking they WERE watching the Red Sox?

It's south Florida people....show some sensitivity for the elderly!

No, I'm not wrong. I've seen and heard Brady say -- when asked directly in a lockerroom interview about the Red Sox' playoff run a few years ago -- "I don't care about them. I care about the Patriots." He also has been quoted as being annoyed at the baseball chanting/cheering while the Pats are playing.

Perhaps he also said the things you claim, it would only be politically correct. Sounds like a PR-advised revisionist opinion, actually. But he's not the only one to have reacted negatively to this matter.
