Coughlin as Assistant

I don't know that I agree he was a great head coach, but he was certainly very good and why would he come here to be in BB's shadow when he still wants to coach. Cleveland should try to get him to straighten out their debacle of a team once and for all.

I guess his behavior at his presser cements my feeling that he was asked to resign or be fired.

interesting though. By resigning he leaves 7 bucks on the table. Is he so wealthy that he would do that? Either there was a side deal that the giants are not required to disclose or they gave him the contract extension in march to avoid him having to answer questions all year about his"lame duck" status and he had a handshake with Mara that he would resign if they didn't make the playoffs. Coughlin and Mara are both "old school" and I could imagine such an arrangement.
