Whoa. Picked just ahead of Gonzo in the 1st round in the 2023 draft. Wonder what made them give up on him. Some of us wanted him here too.

We are so low on talent, throw everything at the wall he see what sticks.

I would take a flyer on him.

1st rounder released before even completing his second season... Has a guy ever bounced back to have a strong career after something like that? Can't imagine it's a long list.

This is why I didn't like at all trading back when Gonzo fell to us. We were lucky Washington made such a dumb choice.

Just the remainder of his rookie contract which isn’t going to be a ton.

I thought it was crazy the Commanders picking him before Gonzalez. Not that he didn’t seem like a decent prospect, but in that draft it was Witherspoon, Gonzalez, and everyone else. He was a later 1st / early 2nd type of guy. I haven’t been following the Commanders so I’m curious as to what happened.

Apparently is is too light and can't stop the run. His coverage has been spotty. I'd take a flyer on him. He can gain weight, maybe.

At @ $5M total for the 2 years remaining on his rookie deal unless there's something adverse that isn't common knowkedge someone is going to claim him. Why not the Pats? It's a short money risk

I loved Witherspoon and Gonzo.
I was stunned when BB traded back from 14 to 17 and knowing Washington picking at 16 wanted a CB
He must have also had Forbes and Gonzo graded evenly. He only got a 4th for the trade
We got lucky
Forbes is a twig. I know AJ Brown made him cry on the sidelines.
But for hardly any real money. Let’s take a look
