Colts' Mac Jones comments reveal how teams view Patriots' rookie QB

The latest episode of HBO's "Hard Knocks" following the Colts offers a glimpse into how opponents are preparing for Patriots rookie quarterback Mac Jones.

This was interesting:

"The quarterback (Mac) gets rid of the ball once pressured," Baker (Colts defensive coach) said. "It's like ridiculous. He's No. 1 in the league under pressure getting rid of the ball. He's the same as Tom Brady. Same coach. 'Stay healthy. Get rid of it. Next play.”

That’s…quite the comparison. If that’s how other teams feel about Mac then we have so much to look forward to in the next few years.

Plus, he will only get better. He will build muscle during the off season and should be able to improve his arm strength. Year 2? If he can stay reasonably healthy, watch out.

I wish Mac had better-taken their scouting report on him to heart yesterday…Too often he allowed the pressure to consume him rather than attempt to avoid it.
