Here should be the OT rules for all levels of football IMO.

Kick off at the 1 yard line. The team needs to score a TD to win. If they settle for anything less than a TD the other team kicks off at the 1 yard line. They need to outscore the other team to win. Continue until someone wins.

It allows returns and STs to be part of the game. IT doesn't give away a FG for free (IE automatically starting at the 25). It shortens the game and gives both teams a chance.
