Cole Strange Activated for Cards Game... but wasn't active... Cuz We Can't Have Nice Things...

Great that Strange is back. Still unsure if he'll play Sunday.
I'm not sure where he should be though? And, how good can he be after an entire year off?
The worst thing would be to start him at Center IMO. That takes a while to acclimate and gain timing & chemistry.
But, Robinson just had his best game at LG, and it gets silly to just ping-pong guys around every week.
I’d start out Strange as a third third tight end
Why is he desperate? His job isn’t on the line.
it’s a result league it may be.

Well it’d be hard for him to make it worse
1) Is Strange better than Brown at center now and a possible starting center in the future?

2) Is Strange better then Robinson now and next year?
==========
1) We need to know whether Strange is an option at center in 2025 and into the future.

2) We do not need to know whether Strange will be better then Robinson next year. Robinson needs the experience and hopefully will improve into a starter.
========
PLAN
Let Strange have some reps as the #6 OL and perhaps a few reps at center if the game is likely out of reach. And let Strange start the last three weeks at center.

Why bother now ... 4 games left for him to get injured again.
If he was so ready then one more weak does what ... watch anther suck-ass player?

If we think that if Strange is not part of the future, then he needs to play so that he is worth something in trade. If he COULD fill a starting OL spot in 2025 and perhaps into the future, then it is well worth it to take this chance to evaluate him.

That is not hard to achieve. Our OL is so bad that we think Brown is the future? Not.

Will the sun rise tomorrow? Better than Robinson is our new standard?

Strange can be a tackle, guard, or center and it is an upgrade over the present OL ranked 32 in the NFL. You have not been watching the Pats offense?

Yes if Strange, if fully healed, he is better than Robinson next year. Is that hard?

Strange might be off IR because his time is up. If Strange is not fully healed than he is a #6. If Strange is fully healed, he would be an improvement at center, guard, or tackle. Anywhere.

The Pats OL SUCKS!!!!! People are starting to think that Lowe is OK. NOT!!!!! Once we start to accept mediocity, the ship is sunk.

I get it. The OL is so bad that we should start Strange somewhere.

EDIT

I guess that we SHOULD be playing Strange. We need to get more information with regard to whether he is part of the future, and if so, at what position. Strange may be the biggest question mark on the OL, other than whether Andrew will be a healthy OK starter for his last year.

We don't need to "think that Lowe is OK". He is signed for 2025 and will compete for a backup job. Wallace could compete for a starting job. We should be bringing in 3-4 OT's.

Why isn't that OK?

What’s the over-under for another Strange injury? I’d say two games.
And how will this hurt the team? If he is injured again, we will simply move on.

We need to know whether Strange is part of the future.

It will help the team while he’s in there, no doubt. He’s easily the best player on that line, when healthy. He just can’t stay on the field, and they have to plan for him playing 50% of the games (at best) for the rest of his career. He may be part of the future, but not as a reliable starter.

If Bob Kraft was putting performance first, the ‘Naise wouldn’t even have been in the conversation. No, getting rid of him will be like Kraft firing a nephew. The hole must get a lot deeper.

I am glad strange is back, but there will be more communication issues on the line because he hasn't played in a year

This reads like Gilbert & Sullivan lyrics from the Broadway show, the HMS Parkour.

With many cheerful facts about the square of the fugue obtuse.
