As we ponder the Brady/Jimmy G. scenario, the Manning/Luck needs to be brought up as well. We hear about Favre/Rodgers, but the truth is you pass on the the last few years of an all-time great for an unproven player, and physical tools aren’t everything. Tanking for Luck while still having Manning was foolish in hindsight. The Colts likely win at least one more SB with Manning, especially with a high pick they could trade down and leverage in 2011.
Jim Brown earned 16 varsity letters at Syracuse ( football, basketball, track, and lacrosse ) and was robbed of the Heisman because of the color of his skin. Easily one if the greatest athletes ever.
