Interesting little side story to the Super Bowl.
The Clark Art Institute in Williamstown MA had a bet with the Seattle Art Museum on the Super Bowl. (Note - where Jonathan Kraft went to college) The Clark wagered a loan of Winslow Homer's masterpiece, Prout's Neck, and Seattle offered an over-the-top Bierstadt outdoor fantasy piece. So, New England won, the Clark got to retain its prize Homer, and is now exhibiting the giant Seattle oil painting.
I was in Williamstown this past weekend and saw the painting. Image attached in the link.
There is a nice placard with the story of the wager.

Hmm, you now have me plotting how to include Williamstown on my next driving itinerary.

Thanks! It'd be worth the trip.
