We kinda creaped out of the gate to a 2-0 record then played flat and at times without passion in an ugly loss to Denver. If the team plays to the same level that they have to this point, the Bengals are going to spank that ass.

Honestly, I'm not worried about dropping to 2-2, I just want to see this team play with heart that brought us championships. It was about a team that refused to lose, a team that found a way, any way, to win football games.

I would be ok losing to Cincy if I saw a team that left it all out there on the field and just came up short. The Bengals are good enough to DESTROY us if we play with the same fire and intensity we saw tonight.

This team is going to hear a lot of doubt this week. They are going to hear a lot of people write them off if they haven't already. They are going to hear a lot of people talk about nothing but the players that left and say nothing of the talent that is still here. If this team isn't fired up next week and ready to get their pride back, then we'll know how this season is going to be.

Again, and I'm serious, I don't care about winning or losing this game. All I care about is seeing this team give it everything they've got, just like they used to. I don't think we've seen that yet.

We should be 3-2 heading into the bye. We won't win this week.

I think the Cincy game will be a good game. I really don't think the game tonight is what we will bring to Cincy next week.

Teams change, emotions change. This week is not neccesarily indicative of how we are going to play next week.

Hopefully, CJ and Gabriel will be on the field next week.

I predict a very close game next week. We will bring mroe than we brought today.

Losses to these non division AFC teams will put the Pats on the road in the playoffs...I'm sure BB is worrying

It's funny, a lot of us thought that after the Jets game this team would come out different, that we would come out hungry, that our WRs would have an extra week to get in sync with Brady and would just get us back on track, that this is a good revenge game considering what Denver did to us last year.

And then the kickoff ensued, and the rest is history.

I see a complete domination next week by Cinci.

I had really thought that the first two games were just a fluke, that the season is new and they're just getting acclimated to everything. But I think I was proven wrong tonight. If we can't get pumped up to face the team that sent us packing last season I don't know what will.

If you can't play with any passion or desire against the team that knocked you out of the playoffs last year, then I don't need to wait until next week to find out about the character of this team. They don't have any.

Cincy didn´t look to convincing yesterday. They made some mistakes but Pitsburgh killed themselves by commiting even more mistakes.

The Pats have to bring their A game, not commit turnovers and pressure Palmer - their OL is horrible (Steelers made him fumble 3 times and throw 2 INts, they sacked him 6 times).

I´m expecting the Pats lose this game but I wouldn´t get too surprised if they won.

We have gotten killed by big plays to the wrs (some fluke - some bad tackling). That is pretty much Cincy's bread and butter.

I hope for a gut-check win; BUT EXPECT a loss and some serious coaching up required over the following 3-6 weeks. We'll see if the Patriots make their traditional Nov transformation again this year.

So what lottery numbers should I play this week?

I don't expect a win but Cincy didn't exactly dominate yesterday. They were outgained 365 - 246. Out First Downed 27 - 15. Out rushed per run 4.5 - 3.5. Out sacked 6 - 3. The won due to 5 turnovers, let's see if we can play a solid game.

As flawed as this team is at the moment, it seems people are overstating their ineptitude. Buffalo comes out and scores on the first play of the season, yet New England answers with a TD march of their own or the very next drive, and completes the comeback in the second half. Remember, the Bills spanked the Phins in their home opener, and would have cruised against the Jets yesterday had they protected the ball at all.

Lest we forget that the Pats, in the Meadowlands for their home opener, no less, jumped out to a 24-0 lead, and were CRUISING until Cotchery's amazing, albeit fluky TD cut the lead to 24-7 and turned the momentum a bit in that game.

Is this a flawed group at the moment? Clearly...we need to see how badly Dillon is hurt, we need to see CJ back on the field, we need to see the defense make a clutch third down stop, we need to see Gostkowski get some lift on the ball, we need some non-officiating related fire from #12, but let's not jump off the bridge yet because this team lost to an organization that has flat-out owned them throughout the BB era (and NFL history, as it turns out).

It was definitely an ugly game...both teams made mistakes...but only one team capitalized on those mistakes. It's definitely a sign of a good team that they win ugly games...just like you guys have done over the last few years. The Bengals are just finally at a point where they can fight off their bad days.

Our OL is horrible? Yesterday they had trouble...but our OL is considered one of the best in the league. You obviously only looked at yesterday's stat line. But...yesterday they were playing Pittsburgh...not exactly a bad defense...with our starting center out and our LT gimpy. Plus, Palmer had an off day and contributed to some of those sacks.

Our new center had his baptism of fire yesterday...hopefully it was a good learning experience. Our LT should be fine next week.

I'm expecting the Pats to lose also...but know that if Brady gets his stuff together you guys could certainly win.

You're misinformed on what the Bengals bread and butter is...it's not just the big play. We've got a 1,500 yard rusher and a QB who can...and does...throw the short passes to move the chains. That's what Palmer did in KC. Heck, that's what Palmer did yesterday when he moved the team 97 yards for our first TD.

CIN looks a good team but yesterday they could have lost easily at PIT

i respect the Bengals really a lot (i like Palmer - he is a huge qb and i'm happy to see him on the field) but i think we will play well and i think we could win there too

Normally our loved Patriots are responding well when the 'worst' seems arrived...

Ok...we lost against Denver...we have lost one game...we have had a bad evening...but i'm still confident in our team and still we are 2-1

do not loose the faith my friends...

The Bengals game will be a very difficult game for us to win. Lets not try to pump ourselves up by saying that Bengals didn't look very good against the Steelers. The Steelers defense is very very good and the bengals won. We can win but the biggest problem we might have is the lack of a true offensive coordinator.

The Bengals have a frisky D...can bring pressure and can cover. They can be run on, though. If the Pats' running game is stuck in neutral like it was vs. Denver, then the Pats are in trouble. If they are able to run on Cincy, then the Pats will be in decent shape.

Regards,
Chris

The Patriots need to be more aggressive on the offensive play calling. If they play as conservative as they did against the Broncos in the Cincy game that thing can turn UGLY really fast. If they show up and play hard with passion then I'll be ok with that. I don't expect them to be within a TD but as long as they play tough like they use to.

Bengals 31 Patriots 13.

LOL, when the pats win a game like that its, a good team always finds a way to win. bengals win a game like they did, its there not so good. remimber it was againt the SB champs, in there home!
