Chukwuma Okorafor informed the Patriots he was leaving

Since this is a transparent team now looking forward to hearing more from Wolf and Mayo. Maybe not the best idea to sign guys who left their last team with attitude problems and without the talent to make up for it.

Yeah exactly spot on.. sometimes it takes time to see that a player was a bad signing. He should have never been playing LT.

After QB, OT was our biggest need. This just underscores the teams’ weak efforts to address this need. Still a mystery.
We just disagree with the choice made, primarily leaving LT until next year.

The team
1) extended Onwenu at RT
2) added Okorafor in free agency
3) expected Anderson to compete for a roster spot at LT or swing OT
4) didn't trade enough to move into the late first (it seems that this would have cost a 2nd, a 3rd plus more)
5) didn't reach far to draft a LT at 34 or 37 when further trade downs were unavailable
6) didn't draft a LT at 68, choosing instead to draft Wallace, a RT who they judged to be a much more valuable player than the LT's available.
7) tried in camp to move Wallace to LT for this year, and was not able to convert him to be our 2024 LT or backup 2024 LT
============
As if now, we have Lowe as LT starter. We presume that Jacobs in the backup LT (Wallace is the alternative). We presume that Wallace is the backup RT (Jacobs is the alternative).

Good lord. I thought he got the **** end of the stick in Pittsburgh because he bad-talked their OC but I guess he actually was just a malcontent. Surprised they kept him for so long to the point that he would just walk out himself, though?

Maybe he was asking to be cut so he could get a job elsewhere and they said nope you’re signed here… I’m not sure what “walking away” does, as they still need to release or trade him for him to go anywhere else. And I doubt anyone wants to trade for this guy. If he never comes back, does his deal just toll into 2025?

It appears the Pats are obsessed with converting RTs to LT. Okorafor and then Wallace on draft night when Wolf said Wallace could transition to LT. Very faulty player assessments. Kind of odd too.

At this point Wallace should just play RT rather than be a very highly drafted backup swing OT. Move Onwenu to RG and hopefully Layden or Sidy can play LG. At LT, go with Lowe and give him help by running a lot of strong side formations on the left.

We wouldn’t be talking about any of this for a decade if we just drafted Joe Alt, who is perfect for AVP’s offense.

The experiments over. Did he play like **** on the right side as well for us or was he just garbage on the left? Apparently it’s like trying to fit a square peg into a circular hole when moving from RT to LT for some. If he was decent on the right he shoulda stayed on the right with big Mike at guard and then fingered out the rest on the left.

Him lining up the way he did 3 times in that preseason game looks more and more intentional..

This is a best case scenario. The product on the field can't be worse, and this locker room is better off without him.

I didn’t think anyone was as lazy and a sabotage to his own talent as much as Brown in enters chuks.

Such a waste of talent, can’t be mad at Wolf to try to get the most out of him he’s a big piece of clay maybe there’s some mental emotional issues there.

Either way we are moving on and I like the spirit of this team.
Baker and Chuks seem to be a counter to the culture a fly In the ointment,

Not to pat myself on the back, but I was preaching the need for a quality backup center the last couple years. I mostly got responses of "why, we have Andrews". This is why. OL is one of those positions where you always should have guys you're developing.

Well that means there are 15,130,000 + 1 people in New England that don’t believe he’s worth $4M pet year. Glad he’s joined the crowd snd happy retirement!

Yeah, he could’ve been ****ing around to try to get cut so he could just take his $3M guaranteed and go relax instead of play. They didn’t cut him so now he’s ditching them instead. I’m not sure what the monetary ramifications are, but since he did play in week 1 I have to assume he gets his guarantees from the deal regardless.
