Ridiculous to fire two coaches after only one year each. Speaks to the poor leadership that's hiring these guys at least in part. Based on the instability it might not be the best place for Josh to go.

Hard to believe the team was in a Super Bowl just a couple years ago (and very very nearly won) to be where they are now - and hard not to place the blame at Baalke's feet.

Feel bad for Chip. What the heck is a guy supposed to do in 1 year? Especially after the last guy only got 1 year? Probably makes it unlikely he gets another HC gig.

Could see Chip ending up in NE in some kind of consulting role, especially if Josh leaves. We know Chip and Bill are buddies and Chip will need a lower profile job to start the reputation rebuild. The major college jobs are also gone now.

Cant really comment on chips coaching this year, didnt really see enough of san fran to make a judgement. But in Philly he was a decent coach. Just bad with player personell. San Fran has an awful roster

Not really. Baalke's head was so far up his own ass he burned a franchise to the ground to retain his position.

I dunno... you might be right... but Harbaugh strikes me as the football version of Billy Martin. Turned around teams as fast as he pissed off everyone around him. LOL

Not a fan of Chip's, but he deserved more than this.

Josh (and every serious potential HC) should avoid this situation obviously. You're clearly not going to have any time to implement your program. Get it right in year one or get out.

Chip obviously has ideas, but in several instances has maybe overrated his own smarts. SF is stupid to churn so often, but I haven't seen much from Chip to say HE deserved more. Most coaches that stick around 5+ years in the league have at least one good one. Heck : even Rex & Fisher had solid seasons !
