Childress pumping Moss for Patriots schemes

There is nothing to worry about. BB pretty much changed everything over the bye week.

Our offense and defense are different now.

Which probably explains the delays of game calls against the offense and the generally below average offensive performances of the past two weeks - - it takes time to learn new signals and calls.

Just chiming in with the consensus that:

A. Yep, Moss does have plenty of knowledge to share.
B. Nope, there's nothing at all wrong with him sharing it.
C. Childress has a bizarre need to run to the press and crow, again and again, that this time he REALLY pulled one over on Belichick! "See? See? Amn't I smart?"

Vs. the Chargers there was one timed route where Welker and Brady were not on the same page, and you know how rarely this happens- so it is pretty indicative that they are implementing a new offense and terminology.

It wasn't just Brady being off (he rebounded in the 2nd half). Half the time, there was always at least one player missing or forgetting his assignment.

If our coaching staff is too stubborn to change things up a little, then shame on them. If it causes a loss, so be it. IMHO,they deserve it for being so stubborn. The guy was just traded. Of course he knows our schemes.

I would imagine BB would be rolling tape and copying the playbook from 2001-2004 because that is more appropriate for the personnel we have now. And....if BB were to do that it would be something that randy knows nothing about anyways....

Chapter 2 in this saga: Randy Moss tells mates the Pats have "a lot of vulnerabilities in their defense."

What info did Moss share?

”(They had) a lot of vulnerabilities in their defense,” tight end Visanthe Shiancoe said earlier today. ”Their linebackers like to jam off the line. They really hang their hats on their guys stopping or hindering our progress on our routes, throwing off the timing, and things of that nature.

”They really don’t blitz too much. They blitz in certain circumstances, especially around the goal line. He just gave a lot of insights on their defense. But who knows with (Coach Bill) Belichick. He may use that as a psychological edge. We just have to be fundamentally sound and know how to adjust on the run.”

i just read that Herald piece. Are you kidding me? This crap is published. The "secrets" Moss shared could be identified by a casual observer of any televised game.

from the OP to you, there are couple idiots posting in this thread. I'm sure the vikes would completely reveal what moss had to share to the press.

This is quite a relevation.....in other news, the sun rose in the east, and set in the west...

Call me crazy, but maybe there's something new offensive wise that's been in the works with the Vikings game in mind that Moss would obviously have no knowledge of?

You obviously don't know Bill O'Brien j/k

Our offense changes weekly anyways, but Moss can bring a lot of insights into coaching philosophies as well as personnel strengths and weaknesses. Those who think he just ran deep all the time and didn't pay attention to anything else are being a bit ridiculous.

BB has always praised Moss's football intelligence, and how quickly he picked up things and integrated himself into the offense. Things will have changed a bit since he left, but he's still got a bit of inside info on us, just as BB and the coaching staff must have some inside info on him as a player.

Fortunately for us, Childress is probably too stupid to take advantage of it.

Does it really matter what Moss tells them?

They'll either start a quarterback who throws interceptions or one whose claim to fame is a 70 QB rating.

here's my game prediction ... Meriweather comes blasting in off Favre's blindside ending his season and career. Fans across the country shower Brandon with attention for ending this dumb-azzed Favre crapola.

Meriweather finally saves ESPN from itself ...

When does Vick return?

Maybe it's the other way around, and Moss gave the Pats corners the information they need in order to be successful Sunday: McCourty: Moss got me ready
New England Patriots rookie cornerback Devin McCourty figures to line up across from Minnesota Vikings receiver Randy Moss at times in Sunday's game. It's a matchup he is familiar with from training camp.

"Sometimes after a play, he’d give little tips to all the corners,” McCourty told reporters Thursday. “Just something that, as a wide receiver, he might not like or other receivers might not like, different things that can help you out when you’re out there playing corner.”

The Patriots’ first-round draft choice also crediting Moss with helping him grow as a player.

"Just working against him every day was probably the biggest challenge I've ever had as a corner, so it helped a great deal," McCourty told reporters. "I learned a lot from Randy. I'm not going to share it, but getting a chance to go against a future Hall of Famer every day in practice, I think that was the reason I was prepared to start the season being on the field."

I just hope the Pats can cover him. He was easily shut down with double coverage with us. We will be double covering him,... right ? The pats secondary leaves a lot of space on the outside. I'd feel better with Farve rather than VJ but this could be a good combination for the Vikes if our corners arent up to the task.

Here's how the meeting went.

Moss: They like to pass in situations X, Y, and Z and these are what the plays look like.

Childress later on to team: Ok team, in situations X, Y, and Z we need to defend the run to throw them off balance! Oh, and Brett...you suck but thanks for the contract extention last year.

Read post #26, troll.

I think Visanthe Shiancoe plays for your Minnesota Vikings, no?

Evidently, Vikings fans are as intelligent as their head oach.

Just punch Moss in the mouth a couple of times. That should work, hopefully.

If Moss was on a team with a good head coach, I would be scared about what intel they could get. Even if Moss gives Childress mindblowing great intel, is anyone really confident that Chlidress would know what to do with that intel?

Childress could sit in on all of the Patriots meetings, practices and coaches conferences and STILL not be able to do anything with the information. The only thing I'm worried about is stupid idiot Favre. All logic says that he is a wounded senior citizen and should be of no worry, but he always screws us!
