Either social media is exposing the crazies or it's causing more people to lose their minds. I didn't know why, but I knew as a 20 year old when MySpace and Facebook were emerging it was bad for my generation (millennial). Having "followers" on Instagram, TikTok and becoming a YouTube celebrity has destroyed Gen Z and now Alpha. I'm seeing why too many murders and suicides by younger people.

IMO, The people who refuse to enact reasonable gun regulations. Every country has drug abusers and criminals, none gave the gun deaths we have.

Social media is much like the regular media: people desperate for engagement, hits and “likes”.

But you don’t get those things by being an intelligent, level headed moderate. You don’t build large followings by posting a non-partisan, fair analysis of the latest issue-du-jour.

I believe I read Facebook intentionally puts triggering content in their algorithm to piss people off.

Other industrialized countries have similar drug and family problems yet we stand out in how often that leads to gun violence. One can only wonder why that is.

Problem with that argument is that you can buy guns legally in other states and then it's easy to transport them to restricted city/states.
