I went into a Cumberland Farms to get a drink and he walked right past me. I did a double take and watched him get into his car. I should've popped him ha ha

Out of curiosity, how tall was he would you say?

Sorry, using voice dictation. It would be no taller than 5 foot 10 but I'm 6 foot three so it's a little bit tough for me to judge once you get under the height. He's also a lot thinner than I thought

it was him though. I looked it up and I guess he does live in Littleton because I wasn't quite sure

I was in a curtis compact line next to Upton Bell in Milton many years ago. He volunteered the well worn cliche that there are two seasons in Boston, Winter and August. Ha ha. Pretty good small talk.

Friday, October 16. After the Pats bye week and 2 days before the Indy game. Book it...

I'm guessing right at the end of the regular season/beginning of the postseason, when they feel that it can provide the biggest opportunity for distraction.

Meth will do that ...........

This happens to me on a daily basis. The struggle is real.
I really wanted to paste YouTube of Mystikal's P&$$! Crook here but it'd probably get me banned. If you know the lyrics you'll understand anyway though.

Please....facts are useless.
Super-Spy Ernie Adams and his black ops team jammed the frequency from the lighthouse/ NORAD command center and redirected audio.
Classic BB......subtle taunting.... "I'm going to give you our signals....and you still can't beat us."
Tomlin's not pissed because of the jam job . Tomlin is pissed because he didn't know how to create advantage with it.
For Christmas, someone in the Pitt organization needs to buy Tomlin "Bill Belichick's 31 ways to win in the NFL"...a six DVD box set.......including authentic reproductions of all Coach Belichick's Super Bowl rings.
This is the post of the year!

I just saw Borges today in Littleton. I want to call my **** so bad but I was polite and just ignored him
Is calling one's **** a common practice for those that associate average height with bridge trolls?

lol, that's it... no more driving and using Siri for posting

I never understood his appeal. Mabye I'm too young but was there a point in the 80s-90s when he was a legitimate good read? Was his shtick always the arrogant douche? Or did he develop this as he got more old and bitter?

Born azzole trained at the typewriters of old scumbags...in RI we have Jim Donaldson...aka **** Dorkelson

Just leave it at he knew somebody you do.

No. After all the crap we've seen from others, a simple "ha-ha I was wrong" is not to be taken for granted.

And he's one of the old-school Globe guys who could really write well. That's more bad news than good at this point ; it keeps them in jobs when they either have nothing at all to say (CHB) or want to say things that are annoyingly wrong (Borges). But they can indeed write.

I don't recall. I think of Gammons for baseball, Peter May for basketball, and McDonough for football. They definitely had stuff to say. I certainly forgave May for the deterioration in his work. (Just looked him up; it seems his wife was the real talent in the family, winning a Pulitzer Prize at the Globe.)

I don't recall who the writer(s) were at the beginning of the Larry Bird era who hooked me in basketball -- probably Bob Ryan, perhaps already with some Peter May in the mix.

I guess my subtext here is that I view journalistic screwups a little differently than other people do. It's a tough job; honest error or imperfect quality is IMO often forgivable. But I judge very harshly when things rise to outright failings in integrity, or in crap that wouldn't happen with a basic, low-level minimum of care. (E.g., I'm very harsh about the MCI's posts on Twitter, less so about his articles and columns.)
