Maybe we just need to invite Charles in here for a visit so he can see there's a difference between fans and media outlets. And I think the media actually likes the success. Otherwise the Patriots wouldn't draw much interest.

I'm so surprised that no one has ever been drunk enough to take a run at Shaughnessy when he is out in public. We have a good amount of fans in Boston who get all drunk and do stupid stuff, why hasn't Shaughnessy met any of these guys?

Condon, I have wondered the same thing. Shank is the ultimate troll. He really has nothing but contempt for the fans and he hates Kraft, BB and the organization in general. His column this morning has a reasonable premise at its root, namely, that the Pats will lose Sunday, but he couches the premise in a blizzard of snarky, insulting phraseology that is designed to penetrate the collective sphincters of Pats' fans. Having traded emails with CHB and spoken with him on the phone, I can tell you he takes great delight in pissing all of us off. I can also tell you that he is a liar, because I caught him in a bold-faced one, and he knew it. It is amazing that no one, at least that I know of, has a cleaned his clock.
