Can't say I like that if it's true.

well should the Pats win, they will face the winner of the Texans/Ravens/Steelers matchup which will be played on Monday. The Pats cannot face either the Bills or Jags in the division round. So we have a slight advantage .

edit. I think that is wrong actually. They could face the Jags...oh this is so confusing...lol

If the Jags win and the Pats win, that's the Divisional match-up, no hypotheticals.

If the Bills win and the Pats win, the Bills will play the Broncos, the Pats the other remaining team.

Why can’t we play the Jags (understand Buffalo)? If Jags win, we play them and Broncos play the other team

Yes, the Broncos play the lowest remaining seed; the two remaining teams play each other.

If the Jags and NE win, it's 1 (DEN) v. 4/5 winner (AFCN/HOU) and 2 (NE) v. 3 (JAX).

If the Bills and NE win, it's 1 v. 6 and 2 v. 4/5 winner.

If NE loses, I'm rooting for the asteroids.

I’ve been down on the LA/SD Chargers since they flubbed away that playoff game vs Jax about 2-3 years ago. But Herbert can play (although I do not think the QB they were hoping) and Harbaugh can coach. We need to play well and start fast.

My early take is AFC: Jacksonville, NE and Houston if Pit wins tonight, Baltimore if Baltimore wins tonight. NFC: Chicago, SF and LAR move on.

* I reserve the right to change my mind several times over the next 6 days.

I think Houston would have a tougher time with Pitt. Just based on matchups.

Possibly. I just don't have much faith in that team at all. I admit I'm a bit biased against Rodgers and Tomlin.

Houston has a better defense than the ravens - Steelers have 13 points against them right now, I think Houston wins that game.

I'm just basing it on matchups because the Ravens are limited. The Ravens scored on a broken play in the Steelers secondary. The Texans with Stingley will not make that mistake.

The Steelers are more methodical moving the ball and they also have a better defense than the Ravens.

The one achilles heel for the Steelers would be containing Nico Collins downfield. But I'm pretty sure they can shut down CJ Stround and the Texans running game.

I thought both Steelers and Ravens looked chaotic, very helter skelter offenses. Ravens scored on a broken play then the Steelers scored with the Ravens db slipped. They both looked sloppy, both made mistakes and exploited their opponent’s mistakes.

I was thinking in the last two minutes which looked more dangerous to my eye and decided it was Pitt. Besides they already beat us and we already beat the Ravens. Now we may get the chance to even the score with Pittsburgh. I think the Pats are enough better that it won’t be a problem, if both teams make it that far. I think the Pats will. Not so sure about the Steelers, they’ll need to get past Houston and then Denver. I think it will be very surprising if they do.

Collingsworth and his partner are calling the game.

Those two were horrible tonight and I aint that picky.

Steelers are the 4th seed, so if they get by Houston, and the Patriots beat the Chargers, the Bills beat the Jags, then the Steelers would be traveling to New England and not Denver. We may get them the 2nd weekend.
