Wow. Jonathan Cooper was a guy a lot of people on this draft forum salivated over. But he wound up being benched in Arizona. Interesting to see what happens.

i really dont know J Cooper is he good?

Clears up like 7-8 mill doesn't it? And how good is Cooper?

Jonathan Cooper is 26 in his last year of contract his cap number is $4,629,227 so the Pats just saved 3 m trading Jones

He was benched last season.

Hope Scar and talent mix here. 7th round picks don't just fall from trees so I feel this will be a HR.

The Cardinals have discussed moving Jonathan Cooper to center.
Cooper began 2015 as the starting right guard but lost his job to Ted Larsen halfway through the year. Incumbent C Lyle Sendlein is a free agent and beat writer Kent Somers doesn't see Arizona making a push for Alex Mack. Some draftniks viewed Cooper as a better fit at center than guard coming out of UNC.

Is he a top 10 draft bust? Perhaps that is harsh, but in three years, he has been injured, been on the bench and now was in danger of landing on the bench. That isn't what you want from someone drafted so highly.
Jonathan Cooper was reportedly in danger of getting benched in Pittsburgh
and previously:
Jonathan Cooper not playing because he's 'not one of the best players,' says Bruce Arians
"If he was one of the best players, it'd be different," Arians said. "He hasn't shown he is one of the best players. He's gotten a lot better than he was and I think he has a great future as long as he continues to do what he's doing."

Arians noted he ends up on the ground more than he should.
Maybe Cooper is a bust of a pick, which would be yet another highly drafted offensive lineman to land on that list for the Cardinals. Maybe his injuries ruined him and he is a case of a "what if" story. Or maybe he just hasn't regained the confidence and play he looked like he was going to have before he got hurt.

Whatever the reason, Cooper won't find his way into the starting lineup unless someone gets hurt.

77 overall rating in Madden 16

Don't know anything about him really but should be an upgrade on the interior and getting a 2nd rd pick too is nice.

Not the big sexy WR trade everyone wanted but makes all kinds of sense

No way BB would tolerate that crap of getting high as F in a playoff week, thanks Jones for your services but go vanish after week 8 somewhere else.

2 second round picks, I like BB chances of getting some talent or moving up in the draft with those.

Cooper seems awfully expensive. Maybe they'll make him lower that number?

Yikes so who rushes the passer from the right side now?
