Celtics 2024-2025 Discussion

Grant Williams' hard push on Luke Kornet was bush league stuff and I'm surprised the refs rewarded him for it by calling the foul on Kornet instead where it should have gone.

White is a stud, and he fits perfectly in this system. I was thinking it last night. What a great group of stars for young guys to come into the league and learn from. Not only that, but they get to practice against these guys almost daily and get to hone their skills against the best and see how they do things.

If they do it right, it could be a boon for them as they create a culture and pick the right guys. Could literally be a dynasty one of which the NBA hasn't seen since the Bulls of the 90s imo.

Perkins isn’t disrespectful and ignorant only about the Celtics. He’s the laziest, dumbest pundit in the NBA landscape. Zero effort, thought, or preparation go into any of his takes. He’s just trying to barf up a contrarian, controversial sound-byte in five seconds before he’s out of breath.

Why does the meme say, "anonymous Celtics player" and have a picture of Jaylen Brown?

Hopefully Atlanta didn’t become our new house of horrors. Very weird last year. We’ll see today.

Brown out again.

Ain't gonna lie I was all in on Fulz instead of Tatum. I didn't think Tatum had anything approaching superstars type stuff. I own that now lol.
Every scout said Fulz was a “generational talent” and NBA scouts are usually right about that claim.

I just love how the Sixers and Lakers face planted with Fulz and Ball, not to mention Simmons and Ingram to some degree. The way they went about business was pretty arrogant, with the Lakers not even working out Tatum. I never liked Ball as a prospect, basically a ball distributor who sucks at most things but can pass a basketball with high accuracy and play adequately in other areas with some development. Horrible shooter. #2 overall pick? Never understood the love for this guy with the upside of a bubble all-star player.

As for the Sixers, I would have drafted Fulz too, but it’s just the whole tanking strategy, “the process,” and why it’s so flawed. They did wind up getting four top picks Embiid (3), Simmons (1), Okafor (3), and Fulz (1). Meanwhile, they drafted Bridges (10) and Maxey (21) who weren’t even generational prospects by any stretch but are much better than Fulz (obviously.)

All just goes to show how dumb it is to tank the #1 overall pick year after year, and it’s particularly funny that Jokic went 41st and owns the Sixers prized fragile giant, while the Celtics traded down with them and snagged Tatum. The Sixers basically tanked for half a decade to get that exact type of player.

I'd rather be at the top of the draft instead of the middle if you are a team that is in the middle. You just need the smart guys to figure out who is who. Like, Oden vs Durant, we all know how that played out. Wemby was a no brainer and I'd love to have him and Flagg looks good. You are right you don't know exactly what you are doing to get with any draft pick. I mean the Celtics hit it back to back with 3rd pick which is pretty remarkable.

Trae Young is a 43/33 shooter and dogshit defender. No idea why any team would trade for him. 27 ppg. Lol

Queta +27 at halftime in his first start (best +/- on court)
