Celtics 2021

I like the Nesmith pick because the dude can shoot. Not sure about the others...we don't have room on the roster for 3 1st rounders each year. I am sure Danny tried, but we need to ship these guys off for veteran role players.

I hadn't paid much attention to the field until the last couple of days. Am I right that this year has literally no draftees who are even 50/50 to become superstars? The #1 pick needs serious work to even be a star player. There are probably 20 guys who will end up playing regular minutes, but that's about it.

that was the prevailing thought about Giannis, Jimmy Buckets, Kawhi Leonard, Khris Middleton, Jokic, Brogdon, Donovan Mitchell....thing is that most of these guys aren't even adults yet

cap rules make it hard to do that.........that's what the exceptions are for

LOL, yeah, true. Although by the time Brogdon left UVa he was ready to run the United Nations.

And from where exactly is the help down low for Kanter & Time Lord coming?

I would have loved Bey but can't complain about Nesmith at all. I wanted shooting and they got arguably the best one in the draft.

I would have loved a trade up to get Poku or Bey but I'm happy with Madar RD2.

...And with the 26th pick of the NBA draft, Danny Ainge selects: his grandson...
Probably couldve gotten him r2 right? Then they could’ve used that pick on a big man.

None of the realistic contenders for a title in the next two years has cap room to sign him. So, either he's going somewhere he wants to live, or he's doing the sign and trade with the Celts getting something in return.

I would've taken Miss St C/F Reggie Perry there...Danny had 4 potential picks, and didn't take one single Big...Inexcusable...

Yep, such as Azubuike from Kansas, Vernon Carey from Duke, McDaniels from Washington, Tillman from Michigan St or my own choice Daniel Oturu from Minnesota.

Someone tell Danny that FA has started.

Makes you wonder...was he just dying to get out of Boston?
He goes to a perennial loser for less money next year...or likely could've stuck around Boston with an extension to bring down his cap number. So disappointed with the entire Gordon Hayward experience...I hadn't been this excited for a New England addition since Randy Moss.
