if I had to trade either brown or Tatum in a deal. I keep Tatum and trade brown. I love Tatum. that kid is going to be an all-star. I like brown too but I think Tatum is going to be the better player.

Brown hasn't looked right since he came back from his friend's funeral - he'll get through it.

He looked pretty good today. A very efficient 17 points 8 boards.

No Morris and no Jaylen Brown = no problem ... nice victory.

In any case I doubt Morris is ever going to be 100% this year.
Be interesting how this affects Ainge's future transactions.

76ers trade C/PF Jalil Okafor, SG Nick Stauskas & 2nd-rounder to Nets for PF Trevor Booker.

I wouldn't have minded Okafor & Stauskas on the Cs, but this should help Crooklyn win a few more games, which should give Cleveland a bit lower draft position with the pick they received as part of the Irving deal.

This is getting bad. We were just dangerously close to losing 6 of 9....

this bench needs to change. it's brutal to watch. brad played the starters way more tonight because he knows it. especially with morris out, this is an issue

Last night no Brown and no Morris ...
Morris is the problem - Ainge will have to use the exception on a center or power forward.
We are at our best with Brown and Irving at guard and Morris - Horford - Tatum up front.

I know, morris being out is what's really killed us. he basically had to AT LEAST replace olynyk and hasn't been able to do that due to injury. He's been exactly what we needed him to be when healthy

rozier wants to be the bench scorer but just isn't that.

I personally prefer the lineup with Baynes in there against most teams and then bring morris' scoring off the bench

Danny's wasted too many draft picks, which should've been used on cheap, talented youth for the bench, on cheap, untalented youth who can't play.

He was terrific. If he's this good as a spot up shooter for the long term.... oh man
His release is REALLY quick, it's really noticeable on those corner 3's

Bench still wasn't great, but it makes a difference to just have more good starters so the bench doesn't have to be out there by itself so much.

Brown struggled but the Celtics' bench outscored Washington (who I'm a fan of) 43-20.

The bench wasn't the problem for you guys. An underwhelming 4th quarter from Irving was, in addition to Horford's poor second half. Brown's struggles hurt too.

Some credit to the Wizards as well for executing down the stretch and showing some mental toughness after Boston made a run with ~5 minutes to play.

It was a good game.

*edit* just read that he Celtics had zero defensive rebounds in the final 6 minutes and 57 seconds of the game. That's a big reason why they lost.

The Celtics absolutely need to keep Smart moving forward.
It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
