CBS: Sally Reese wanted the Pats to score 100 against the Titans!

I think 'masterminded' is a pretty strong word. Fisher isn't exactly the masterminding type...

He's one of those dudes who always has deniability. He pushes one guy forward - and off the plank if he has to. But it was a powerplay, no doubt. It caught up with Shanahan in Denver, and will probably catch up with Fisher in Nashville a year later. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

QB12

She has legitimate beef with the Titans, as does her husband.

Unfortunately, what she wants to happen doesn't actually correlate to what happens on the field and because she wanted it to happen, doesn't mean Coach Belichick was going to let it happen. I have no problem with her speaking her mind about the situation. She isn't on the coaching staff. She doesn't get a pay check from the Patriots. This isn't coming from her husband, but from her mouth.

So there can't be any backlash on the Patriots, Belichick, Brady et al for her comments.

As for running up the score, I remember reading Education of a Coach and there being a story about how Steve had the score ran up on his Navy team (or maybe the other way around). I think the lesson learned from that story was that your not doing the other team any favors by letting up, let alone your own team. Players get on the field and they need to be striving for perfection on each block, each pattern and every coverage. They need to be hunger to win, so it is one thing to pull your starters and another thing to have your back up running back rush the ball till the time runs out. Hoyer had a great opportunity to learn in a game situation, as did the other guys that came in. And their learning makes the team better as a whole.

Sure it comes at the expense of another NFL team, but if they don't like it, they need to make some changes. It isn't the responsibility of the opponent to let up on players and coaches in the NFL, who make a ton of cash, because they were prepared to play, weren't motivated, had injuries, etc. If anything, the Pats did them a favor for showing them who they really are.

Unfortunately, the Pats might be hindered by an inflated ego, if Bill didn't contain it already, after destroying the Titans.

Hell, I wouldn't have minded if the Patriots had dropped 100 points on the Titans.

I'm sure the guys who had Brady as their fantasy quarterback wouldn't have minded either.

It's tough to imagine any of those guys lost this week...

I knew my buddy had him when he came out right after the game and made his Facebook status, "Hi. My name is Tom Brady and I throw 6 touchdowns. Holla!" And my buddy is a Dolphins fan.

What the NCP left out was her ranting on about Jeff Fisher's extra maritial affairs. No big deal but that was public knowledge to anyone in this area down here, and it wasn't the first time.

Floyd getting canned was really no big surprise, there was rumblings of it atleast a year before it happened.
The funny part I heard was the whole Devin Hester pick being the next ROY in 2006. She obviously forgot the 2006 ROY was already drafted for the team Floyd was working for.

What?! Surely not the classiest active* coach in the NFL!?!?! Not that I care one whit how he conducts his personal life, but just sayin'...Although, the whole 70's swinger 'stache thing makes a whole lot more sense now.

*Because we all know THE classiest coach EVAH is St. Dungy!

I'm sure now that Reese has landed on his feet, in arguably the best organization if football, he's thrilled to hear his wife is drunk dialing the local talk shows airing dirty laundry.

Of course you have to wonder why Floyd didn't take his sugar plum for a once in a lifetime vacation?

Am I making some assumptions here? Sure. But I'm an anonymous message board poster, not the spouse of an important sports executive.

Got some glass houses here, on that score.

Wait, why is this newsworthy? Look, it's an inappropriate thing to say, but I think this is being a little overblown.

With the circus that team has become.... I'm waiting to see a Giant Tent set up at LP Field.

No, I completely agree with you there Ray.

After listening to both parts of that audio linkage - - all I can react is O-M-G. That was a radio car crash. She was scary. Just scary.

All I can say is that BB or Kraft better not ever fire Floyd Reese or else we're gonna get some REAL entertainment!

Ha ha. I jumped to that conclusion without even knowing there was an audio.

Oh well Floyd, I'm sure she was a stunner in her day. Lol. Hope it was worth it!

I lost by 2 points and I had Ghost miss a FG and then later, the Pats refused to kick FGs because of the big lead

To add to my griping, I cut Maroney last week to pick up Sammy Morris, who I had actually started.

She sounds like a Patriot Fan.

I like her and agree her thinking on that game.

In fact, I wish they would hang 100 on all the teams going forward.....forever.

You can make that a thread if you would like.

Sorry, Scottie, but it's important in life to recognize toxic people. That woman is toxic. People like that do not do stuff like that "only once". That kind of "Fatal Attraction" hatred tends to happen over and over again for people like that. She mentioned it's happened before and Floyd made her promise never to do it again.

As I wrote, BB or Kraft better not fire Floyd, or else!
