CB Kyle Arrington was informed of his release this morning by the Patriots, per source. A reunion in the future has not been ruled out.

Surprising. If he had played even marginally well in the Superbowl Malcolm Butler probably isn't in the game to make the play, although I guess if he played marginally well we wouldn't have been in that spot in the first place.

I knew almost any CB on the roster could realistically be a starter week 1 or could be cut. I just really didn't expect Arrington to be in that latter group.

This one is truly surprising. Not only was Arrington a decent slot corner, but a key special teamer as well. With BB's loving of two-way players, I wonder why Arrington was let go.
