I never heard of the guy before today, but after reading the news articles he certainly doesn't sound like the brightest bulb of the bunch.

He's actually really smart and witty in an acerbic way. But he's genuinely nuts too, compulsively transgressive. It's fine to violate the canons of taste, but federal law is another matter. Too bad.
