I've watched him a couple times, and saw his combine performance (looked fine) but the reason I'd want him on Pats is that Mayock said twice today that Carimi is a mean and nasty hombre. And doesn't hurt that he's pretty smart (3.58 GPA I think). When you consider that what really sets Mankins apart is what's in his heart and head more than his body, then if we can get another nail spitter who's very close in talent to the other top guys then I say sign Carimi up.
Carimi won't last to 28 though, especially if Tyron Smith's knee becomes a real concern for teams. I still think D-line is where we should go at 17, but its all about the QB's and the CB's, if they start to go early we could chance moving down or waiting to 28 for D-line. But my preference is to go D,D,D in our first 3 picks.
