"Career game for Arrington"

When your career is 5-6 games long and you spend the day containing Randy Moss, I think we can dispense with the verification. Probably a career game.

The only corner who hasn't had a career game this season versus Randy Moss is Revis.

Was he really covering Moss all day today? Looked to me like he and McCourty stayed on the same side and rolled up to jam Moss if he was there.

I got the SDTV feed and wasn't paying full attention so maybe I'm wrong there.

I was only making light of the thread title. In his interview Arrington said he was playing Moss a lot and jamming him, but I have no idea really.

McCourty rarely covered Moss.

There were a few times he did, but he was mainly on Harvin.

Arrington and McCourty switched sides a few times to get Arrington in Moss's face.

the guy's funny too:

"As much as I could, every time the ball was snapped, I tried to be the aggressor. He will lull you to sleep. That was the biggest thing I didn't want to happen and end up on SportsCenter for the wrong reason."

How many other HOF wide receivers will Arrington cause to lose their jobs this year ?

Arrington is one of the better tacklers on the team....No YAC when he's covering you.

Re: "Career game for Arrington".

Pats are 5-0 since Arrington replaced Butler in the starting lineup.

it's not that simple, but at the same time, it's part of the story I am sure.

Ridiculous comment.

First, they had a LB lined up right over Moss, then covered by Arrington and had a safety over the top.

Yes, I agree. Arrington played extremely well, shutting down a Hall of Fame receiver.

Agreed. Help or not, considering the rest of Arrington's career, it was a pretty significant milestone.

I'm still not convinced Arrington's the answer at RCB, but I can't come up with a better name right now.

Did anyone else notice that Moss was giving a totally half-assed effort all day long yesterday? Not the "lull you to sleep" kind of thing, but he really looked like he wanted his old team to win that game.

I thought I noticed Butler out there at one point. Was he in a nickel package? I would love to see him get a pick and build up his confidence.

Revis Island is a myth. He gets over the top safety help too. A good performance is a good performance.

I only saw him for one snap, when McCourty was banged up on that deep pass he almost intercepted. I would like to see Butler worked back into the line-up. I think he's got more potential long-term than Arrington.
