Still, the Patriots will need to add at least one other wide receiver through the draft as they continue to fill out their roster. New England has had visits from USC Robert Woods, Oklahoma’s Kenny Still and Oregon State’s Markus Wheaton. Smith notes that Wheaton is specifically the type of versatile player New England covets, as he saw time at wide receiver and running back during his time at Oregon State.

Keenan Allen might be one of the best targets, but, likely to be picked much higher.
this isn't rumor..they HAVE to draft a WR in the first of 2nd
Really ? I don't see the need........
1. Taking out, adding, or changing a few words does not make the article your own. If you have something to add, then do so before or after the article. If you didn't write the whole thing from scratch, then don't try to say that it is your work.
2. When posting a part of an article, put in in a quotes tag, and then put a link to it. Example:
Patriots rumors: New England to draft WR | The NFL Injury Report
This makes it clear that the quoted section is not your work, but someone else's. It also allows other forum readers to easily find the entire article.
3. When posting an article like this, make sure it is worth posting. In this example, the original article is an opinion piece by Michael David Smith, where he says "it’s probably safe to say that wide receiver is a position they need to address in the draft." There's no rumor there. It's one guy who doesn't even really cover the Patriots saying what he thinks they need to do.
The second article then passes Smith's opinion off as a "draft rumor," when really there's no rumor there, just some guy's opinion. Smith's original opinion here isn't even really worth citing. If Reiss or Bedard said that they had heard from someone inside the organization that the Patriots were likely to draft a WR, then maybe that's threadworthy. Some guy who doesn't cover the Patriots specifically and is clearly making an opinion is not a rumor, and a rumor from Blaine Blontz is not worth citing, even if he claimed that he had heard the information himself. In this thread, you've cited Blontz citing Smith's opinion as a rumor. As far as I'm concerned, that's three things that should have been avoided.
4. When people point out your mistakes, you're better off accepting their criticism than scaring them away with (pretty terrible) insults. The best thing that can come from it is that you improve as a poster, but you're not going to improve if you think that you are completely unwilling to listen to criticism.
For either pair we would likely have to us our top two picks and I can't see that especially in the case of Rogers. I know we drafted Hernandez but that was in the 4th round.i'd love a pairing of Hunter/Robert Woods or the more likely Hunter/Da'Rick Rogers

Right now I'm on Wheaton (1) and Boyce (3) with a CB in the second. However, I'm not feeling like we have to take two WR early - and, in fact, I think we're more likely to take a WR in one of the first two rounds and then another in the 7th leaving the 2nd and 3rd for other positions (likely DL and CB).
I just can't get past their excellent 3 Cone times + other good short running drills. That's the reason that Rogers also can't be overlooked; I just have a feeling he will go too high for the risk he brings.Nice. Wheaton/Boyce is the way I'm currently leaning too.

Says the guy that claims that Lloyd was no good.
Maybe we'll be lucky and be the right team at the right time but with this being a draft in which almost every team wants to trade down (lack of talent in the top ten, glut in the 11-50 or so range), I am assuming we will have what we have. If we do trade down it will likely (IMO) be a "WTF" trade in which everyone is not happy with what we get back as it's a buyers (those trading up) market. The ideal option is to trade down from #29 for a 2nd and 3rd from elsewhere (ideally a team picking in the early teens. Then we have 2 x 2nd's, 2 x 3rds 2 x 7. From the first 4 picks we then take 2 x WR, 1 x CB and 1 x DT

You're right - however I think the QB run will happen before us, in the 20-26 range. While it may seem that way we still only need 1 team to trade with and everyone knows New England is willing to move around. The extreme uncertainty of QBs in this draft could certainly help us if we do look to trade out of the 1st round because of the number of fringe 1st/2nd round talents. And as we know QBs are overdrafted so someone could look to move up to get a guy in the late first that is rated as a second rounder. I also wouldn't count out the 5th year option for 1st round picks as a motivating factor for some teams, especially if they are looking QB. All I do know is this is going to be an exciting and likely crazy draft. I can't wait!

Nice. Wheaton/Boyce is the way I'm currently leaning too. Also think a 3rd in the late rounds or UDFA is possible too - a bigger receiver (Marquess Wilson/Courtney Gardner/Mark Harrison).
