I thought this was supposed one of the perks of homefield advantage. The replay for the Jax first TD should have been shown a lot quicker if your going to lollygag, do it with visitors. BB said that he didn't have enough time once the video was shown. Probably cost Pats 4 pts- unacceptable!

There are people BB communicates with up in the booths to make those kinds of decisions. I don't think he bases them on the jumbotron footage.

New rule, though: don't show a play in progress on the jumbotron, as Stallworth is too vain.

My use of the Jumbotron operator was figurative, although BB did say couldn't get a good look, regardless somebody dropped the ball and if they are looking to serve humble pie to off-field personnel there a nice size slice awaiting someone.

I don't think they would've overturned it anyway.

I've got to go with the logic of the game's announcer (Simms?). Who said, if it pertained to a score you challenge it. It had a chance to be overturned.

I think it's the t.v. feed (i.e., how quickly CBS replays it). I've noticed that as soon as it becomes obvious on national t.v. replays is when the flag usually comes out. CBS (theoretically) tries to cycle though as many different-angled replays as they can so that those watching in the booth have time to make a more educated guess and relay it to BB.

I think we should fire the pretzel vendor in section 302 as well. He is partially responsible for one of Brady's two incomplete passes.

AD Thomas ran back an interception for a TD earlier in the season and he was clearly looking at the Jumbotron. When asked about it on Dale & Holley (and by print media) he said he was taught to look up while running to see where the person chasing him was. People thought it was very smart.

Stallworth does it and he's an idiot.

Go figure.

It may have slowed him down a bit; although I think he might have been caught anyways as he was still accelerating and the cb was running at full speed.

It was smart for both of them. Stallworth just wasn't up to full speed yet like you said.

More accurately, he wasn't at full speed because he was still corralling the pass.

Bingo. Stallworth slowed a bit because he had to break stride when reaching out for the slightly overthrown pass. He was right to look up at the jumbotron and see how far behind the DB was. He got caught because he had to re-accelerate after adjusting to catch the pass.
