Maybe fire Adrian Klemm, but definitely not Troy Brown. That would be insane; I strongly suspect that he was the one who got the crusty old BB to draft Demario Douglas. I watched him in Training Camp and he was glued to Douglas; I attribute part of Douglas's success to Brown.
Don't blame Troy Brown for BB's horrific WR choices.
Was it Gabriel who got dropped half way thru the season? If I remember correctly he ran a poor route.. Brady had words with him.. then that Monday he was looking for another job?Well.. we know the organization cannot draft WR'S, as in the case of Thornton another 2nd round bust. I've made a comparison that when we had Doug Gabriel, Jabar Gaffney and Caldwell.. those guys were at least respectable by mid season... so yeah I guess it's no talent that can be coached.
Yes Doug Gabriel who had played with moss in LA. He didn't last long.. I remember that. It was after the game against the Broncos. But Caldwell and Gaffney made plays that season. Gaffney ended up being one of Brady's guys. Caldwell made that play deep on the right sideline against the chargers in the divisional round.. can't believe we went to the AFC championship with those WRS.Was it Gabriel who got dropped half way thru the season? Agreed.. huge losses. Scott pioli as well was an underrated loss as well. Your only as good as the people around you..Not that they were ever under appreciated but I think we are seeing how great a loss that Dante and Ernie were to this team when they retired....
A great joke I heard from a stand-up comic once. If I see a helicopter stuck in a tree, I don't need to be a pilot to tell that pilot is not good.Football is ntertainment so let me draw this analogy.
I've been a Star Wars fan for 40+ years. I know what good Star Wars content looks like. Sure there have been some not-so-good stuff under George Lucas but it wasn't completely terrible. He sold his company to Disney. When that happened Katheleen Kennedy has been running the show. There have been calls for her to be fired for years now because she's running the IP into the ground (South Park just did an episode all-out it).
I don't need to know how she runs a creative meeting. Or how she picks directors or scripts or even how she likes her coffee in the morning. I know she's bad at her job because the movies and TV shows stink and she's losing millions of dollars (check out Disney's stock). She should be fired.
Same thing with BB. I don't know the ins and outs of the day-to-day of the football operations but I can see that the product on the field is substandard and not trending in the right direction. If BB were any other coach/GM he'd be fired already.
tl;dr You don't need to be an insider to call for someone's job if they're in the entertainment industry and are doing a bad job.
Still showed he was clueless. Emphasized it, really.A great joke I heard from a stand-up comic once. If I see a helicopter stuck in a tree, I don't need to be a pilot to tell that pilot is not good.
That was his response to being heckled about not having a clue what he was talking about after he joked that being a mom is not the hardest job in the world.
BoB has been a failure too. We need a complete reset from the top down IMO.
I don’t agree with you. BOB has not done well with what he has to work with. His offense is offensive with stupid penalties and poor execution. That’s on him.I cannot agree with this either. I think he is a great coach but he just does not have the tools to work with thanks to years of bad draft and FA signings
He can say what he wants, but I’ve seen plays called where before they finished substituting I was thinking I know what they’re going to call and I hope I’m wrong because it’s dumb and won’t work. Then that was what was called, and it didn't work. It’s happened not just once or a few times, but much too often.Take it for what it's worth but Evan Lazar has been adamant that it hasn't been the scheme or play calling but the execution and lack of talent.

From the above, I would conclude that
1) we have 2 good WR's for 2024 in Bourne and Douglas
2) Parker hasn't improved (is he good enough to be our #4?)
3) Thornton has been injured and is still a question mark
4) Shuster may OK as a #3 or #4, or not.
5) We need more information on Reagor and Boutte.
BOTTOM LINE
As almost always, we need a #1 WR.
And, as always, Belichick won't pay what it takes to get a top 10 WR.
We'll add a couple of WR's to the mix next year. The "real questions which of the 5 join Doulas ad Boutte, the two locks to go into camp next year.
this may be true but calling screens for juju all the time when you have a shifty agile douglas makes 0 sense and this is BoB's fault and very dumbTake it for what it's worth but Evan Lazar has been adamant that it hasn't been the scheme or play calling but the execution and lack of talent.
AJ Brown, Cooper Kupp, Tyreek Hill, Mike Evans. All guys playing in the Super Bowl the last few years on big contracts. The last few super bowls the only teams not to have a big money receiver or highly drafted receiver is last year's Chiefs.I agree with not paying for a #1 WR. Those contracts are insane...and it is no coincidence that #1WR's are always traded (D. Adams, Tyreek Hill, A.J. Brown).
We need to hit on that position in the draft...Marv Harrison, Jr. is probably the way to go for 2024....
The screens to Juju are just mind boggling. The guy can't run and has zero short area quickness.this may be true but calling screens for juju all the time when you have a shifty agile douglas makes 0 sense and this is BoB's fault and very dumb

With this year's free agent crop I agree. Even some of the big money contracts for true number one guys were acquired via trade.with the other holes this team has though......drafting a #1 might be smarter than paying one....i know they have a ton of $$, but......
