You obviously have a bone up your arse regarding Jackson. He steal your girlfriend or something because you keep making up this crap.
1) It was partially torn. The rehab isn't nearly as long.
2) No, he won't have missed the ENTIRE off-season program and mini-camps. That is your BS assumption.
3) Actually, it doesn't take players that long to regain their confidence regarind their knee.
Unless you've actually HAD an ACL injury, you don't know what you are talking about.
OH, and one last thing, how about you go learn more about Jackson and how he's done in the 2nd year of systems.
DaBruinz - please tone it down a bit. The posts I have read from you are are quite antagonistic. No reason for it unless he hit you over the head with a wet herring.
I have had ACL reconstructive surgery (though I am not nor have ever been a football player). I was on the Washington State U Ski team though (WSU fellow alum - QB's: Drew Bledsoe, (the) Ryan Leif and yes even Mark Rypien SB MVP! - (he makes a great trivia question).
Regarding your post and comment #3:
"3) Actually, it doesn't take players that long to regain their confidence regarind their knee. "
Have you talked to any football players about this? Have you ever talked with ANYONE who has had ACL reconstructive surgery (and who plays any sports)?
After my ACL surgery, I was in a brace for several months and having to either A) grab the crutches or B) having to awkwardly hop - to do the most simplest thing like go to the refrigerator or to the toilet ; it makes you VERY cautious to do anything. During (my) rehab when I felt pain - I would then start taking it easy so as not to possibly damage it. When I would be running and feel a strange sensation - I would stop running and walk instead. I wore a brace my first year back skiing and I took it quite easy. I never skiied competitively again. Even by the second season it would still cross my mind while recreational skiing after I weaned myself off the brace. And the brace really limits your movements. I have not (nor will ever) have 100% range of motion in my knee again. And my ACL damage was not particularly severe - not by a long shot.
So I take some offense when you say that remark about confidence because in the back of your mind you really don't want to re-injure the knee and to be reaching for your crutches or hoping on one leg to get to the toilet - yet again.
Let along go through the long and painful rehab process. And least not possible sacrifice millions of $$ (getting cut and settling for an injury settlement) for an NFL player.
So please stop accusing others quote - "because you keep making up this crap" and look in the mirror yourself.
