Accurate throwing short and long. Better footwork and mechanics. Threw some rockets out there. Not shotputting the ball at all. Also stronger, much faster and more elusive.

The guy we had at QB this season had absolutely nothing in common other than the name on the back of the jersey. The guy we had at QB this year doesn’t belong in the league. This other Cam gets us to the playoffs and maybe more. What a difference a few years made.

His mechanics kinda sucked then too...No wonder he couldn't sustain success...

All I see are wide open targets, if we had the weapons, I think he may have been above average.

Just watch videos from 2018, only 2 years ago and he looks totally different than this year

Newton's 2015 regular season was a fluke brought about by an unusually high TD% for him. His career TD% is 4.4%. His second best single season TD% is 5.1% (2013 & 2018). In 2015 his TD% was 7.1% while many of his other stats were pretty close to his norm. Superman met with his kryptonite that season, i.e. the Super Bowl. Cam and Peyton went toe to toe for the worst ever quarterback performance in a Super Bowl. Cam won.

That Super Bowl was beyond painful to watch.
True but so was the AFCCG. We didn't get anything going until we started spamming Gronk at the end. Brady and Cam had the same stat line against that Denver team. It wasn't pretty but that was an all time defense grinding

I happened to see a replay of a Panther game from Cam's rookie season. It was striking how many of the issues he had then as a QB that he still has today.

So you made a new Cam thread to hate on Cam? Why? lol. He hasn't even re-signed with us.

Their stat lines may have been similar but their efforts were not. Cam pulled a no-show and then quit on his team. Brady nearly engineered a last minute comeback to send the game into OT. The two 4th down completions to Gronk were vintage clutch throws from Brady. The earlier missed PAT by Gostkowski came back to bite them in the ass. However, the season was really lost for the Patriots with the week 16 & 17 debacles curtesy of BB.

I agree with that Broncos defense being an all-time great unit though.

Don't worry about Cam. He thinks he had a good season... Belichick told him so. And some reports actually have him getting a decent contract with another team (or even still as a Patriot).

...And before that, the loss to Chip feckin Kelly - at Home! - and before that, Chris Harper in Denver...

Starting with that loss in Donkeyland, it was was Bill's worst-ever season-ending stretch of coaching....until the last two seasons...in a row...
