Pats fans are just still sour about him leaving for another team. Even though we rationally understand why he left, it still feels like a betrayal. After 20 years with the guy, it's only understandable people bash him. It's temporary. Once he retires, this little TB thing will be a blip on the radar and he'll be back to being worshipped.

I think a lot also stems from the us against the world battle the last decade+. When people accused him of cheating, we grew closer. We went to battle for him. Portnoy got arrested for him.

But as I said, when he's done, we'll all settle down and see he just wanted to get out from BBs massive shadow for a season or two. We'll forgive him, erect a statue, etc.

Just my take

No sourness from me. I wished him well. I just thought he was terrible last year in his play and attitude and the fact that presence is gone is like the sun breaking through the clouds on this team. Could be wrong but they seem happier and that’s understandable.

It is nice for sure not having to live and die with each and every win or loss.
