Bye Week Transactions: RB Cierre Wood and WR LaQuan Williams

Is Vereen actually back yet? if not, I don't know why anybody would want to get rid of Bolden or Blount.

Practicing with the team, but not yet on the 53-man roster.









On a separate note the Patriots worked out a few more players Tuesday. Looks like it is simply due diligence in case the injury bug extends to special teams, though Mattes bounced on and off the roster a few times this off season. He's another guy the Patriots released with an injury settlement in late August. Not sure, but I think he may have a 4-game PED suspension that he has to serve though.

I have a good friend who is Notre Dame alumni. Given our association, I've followed the Irish a little in College Football. Cierre Wood was a rather dynamic playmaker from what I saw of him. Hopefully, he's a bottom of the roster guy who can stick.

Didn't you just hate the way that with 3-4 Steelers draped over him at the 7 he just danced and danced his way into the EZ for a TD doing the Twist?

Bolden has been fighting a knee injury all season. His playing time is/was down a lot. I think that if he's gone, it's just as likely to be to the IR as to be released.

I know nothing about either of these players, except that Texas really must've disliked C. Wood RB to not have picked him back up with Foster and Tate hurt so significantly.

Wood to the PS makes more sense, even with Bolden "gone". Don't forget we also have Leon "ghost" Washington as a 3rd down back. I guess he was at practice (LW)?
