Building your draft board position by position - week 4: CB

I want to pose an interesting question. Who is the most likely CB to switch to Safety and become a standout?

My nominee is Kenny Scott from Georgia Tech. He has speed, size and size potential. His coverage ability is good but not great for a CB. His hips are not quite good enough for a standout CB, but he does tackle and hit. That says a Safety conversion will work with potential to create a star FS. As a FS, he would be a top coverage safety with great speed.

Many big CBs are timid tacklers; so they don't make good Safeties. That doesn't apply to Kenny.
He's a little light if I recall correctly, my off the top of my head thought was he weighed less than 180. I've not put much time into him after a character flag came up in my reading.

Not predicting any of them will succeed but here's a few who may make the switch:

Tanard Jackson -- played CB throughout college but moved to Safety during Senior Bowl week. Is now listed as a FS first.

Michael Coe -- listed as a CB but played his last 4 games at FS

Allan Ball -- listed as a CB and was a 4-yr starter at that position. A somewhat slow 4.52, and kind of twiggy at 6-2 183 -- but possesses good ball skills. BB has drafted two CBs from Illinois -- Eugene Wilson and Christian Morton. Wilson was also a 4-yr starter at CB.
